QOTD - what are your most anticipated reads for the remainder of the year?
I am excited for every one of these books 🥺
Can we just stop for a minute and look at the sheer amount of talent and quality of books that we’ve been blessed with lately! I think sometimes we can take them for granted, but how lucky are we to have all these amazing worlds and stories at our fingertips!
We’re almost at the end of the first half of 2026 (yep, I can’t believe it either!) and the calibre of books has been insane. But look at this list and how many more are still to come? It’s actually crazy.
And I know for a fact I’ve forgot some (because there are just so many to remember)!
I am super fortunate that I’ve already read some of these, or have them ready to read. I also know that I am getting a couple more but out of respect for these 3 publishers, I won’t be sharing until they arrive. But omg, I am so so thankful & excited 🥺🫶🏼

Hello #booksta aujourd'hui je vous parle de la trilogie " The Prison Healer " de @lynettenoni parue aux éditions @hachetteromans .
The prison healer est la premiere trilogie de fantaisie que j'aie lue. Elle a une place importante dans mon cœur car c'est grâce à elle que j'ai découvert l'univers incroyable des romans de fantaisie.
J'ai adoré le premier tome : on suit Kiva, une guérisseuse qui est enfermée dans la pire prison de son royaume depuis une dizaine d'années. Elle est obligée de participer aux Épreuves du Supplice : 4 épreuves impliquant chacune un élément ( la terre, l'eau, le feu ou l'air ) et que seules des personnes dotées de magie peuvent réussir.
Tout au long de ce tome, on est plongé dans l'univers glacial et brutal de cette prison. L'amitié naissante entre Kiva et Tipp, un jeune garçon, est terriblement touchante. La romance entre Jaren et Kiva aussi.
L'écriture est fluide et l'histoire haletante. On finit sur un cliffhanger de malade et on a qu'une envie : lire le deuxième tome.
J'ai moins aimé le deuxième tome car je le trouve moins palpitant que le premier. Il a des secrets, de la tension, c'est intéressant mais c'est long. Il y a peu de choses qui s'y passent et on doit vraiment attendre la fin pour être dans l'action, ce que j'ai trouvé dommage.
Le troisième est à la hauteur du premier : la trahison est révélée, les rancœurs sont présentes.. L'entraide est obligatoire. Je n'ai pas pu lâcher ce tome. J'avais besoin de savoir, j'avais besoin d'être sûre que les personnages allaient avoir la fin qu'ils méritent 🥺
La fin est parfaite pour cette trilogie et j'ai eu mal au cœur en refermant le livre. J'y laissais ce monde magique, ces personnages tous attachants, derrière moi et j'avais qu'une envie : re-découvrir l'histoire pour la première fois.
Le point positif de cette histoire : aucun personnage n'est laissé à l'abandon, même les " secondaires " sont importants.

i met my reading goal, besties!! our perfect storm by @carleyfortune was my 200th book of the year, and it was beyond exceptional! i didn’t plan it this way, but it was the best book to complete my goal!
with that being said, here are all of the 5 (and 6) star reads i finished throughout these past 5ish months! i’ve had the absolute best year so far, and i can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings! 🫶🏼
