MORE 2026 RELEASES || 🖤 QOTD - what are your most anticipated reads for the remainder of the year? I am excited for every one of these books 🥺 Can we just stop for a minute and look at the sheer amount of talent and quality of books that we’ve been blessed with lately! I think sometimes we can take them for granted, but how lucky are we to have all these amazing worlds and stories at our fingertips! We’re almost at the end of the first half of 2026 (yep, I can’t believe it either!) and the calibre of books has been insane. But look at this list and how many more are still to come? It’s actually crazy. And I know for a fact I’ve forgot some (because there are just so many to remember)! I am super fortunate that I’ve already read some of these, or have them ready to read. I also know that I am getting a couple more but out of respect for these 3 publishers, I won’t be sharing until they arrive. But omg, I am so so thankful & excited 🥺🫶🏼 Thank you so all the authors & publishers for bringing us such amazing books!

BURN OF THE EVERFLAME || 🔥 Q’sOTD Is this a need or is this a need? Is it September yet? Is anyone booking some days off work? Did you need the final book yesterday? If you answered yes to all these questions, you’re not alone and I’m here for emotional support! We are now just under 4 months away from release day and it’s starting to feel VERY real! I am so beyond happy that @authorpenncole took all the time she needed to write this final book. You can see from everything she’s ever posted how much this series means to her, and I think that’s part of why it means so much to us 🥺 I cannot tell you how excited but scared I am for this final book. I think I am going to have my heart ripped out 😩 I would donate limbs for an early copy of Burn! @simonschusterau I’m looking at you with puppy dog eyes 🥺 please 🥺 Also a shoutout to the beautiful Kyra @inkandstarlightco for her new trope candles! The slow burn one is 100% fitting for this series 🤭

LIFE UPDATE || 🖤 I was going to post this tomorrow. But in sticking with prioritising myself, I know I will lose sleep over being anxious about posting. Yay, love how brains work sometimes 🤭 I am in no way quitting Insta, you’ll still see the unhinged stories etc, but I just need to pull back a little because it’s honestly too much. I can sit down to catch up, and 2 hours later and I’m still staring at my phone and haven’t done a single comment because there is that much that I can’t even start. Where’s the fun in that? Then I can’t enjoy reading because I feel guilty for not catching up… it’s a vicious cycle, and one I’ve probably been pushing through for way too many months now. I know this is the start of losing lots of interactions & followers but I’m sorry, my mental health and well being matters way more than any numbers. Thank you to all those who have been endlessly supportive regardless, and thank you to those who will continue to be 🖤

WACKY WEDNESDAY || 💜🧡 QOTD - check in time! How are you? What are you reading? Tell me something random? I am really feeling the midweek slump. I am SO tired this week. The virus I had can apparently stay in your body for months after and symptoms can come and go and I really think that’s happening. Do you ever go through phases where you just don’t feel 100% ok, even though you really want to? My check in I’m ok, I just want to feel 100% I’m currently reading The Midnight Train and The Mistral Something random - biscoff caramilk chocolate is absolutely divine 🤭 Hope you all have a great day 🖤 Tagged some besties, but as always, no pressure 🥰

THE SHADOW PRINCE || 💜 Happy re-release day @helenscheuerer & @macmillanaus I was absolutely over the moon to receive a copy of The Shadow Prince from Pan Mac! Thank you so much! This is still my favourite novella to date 🥰 My review from last year 🖤 “I have to call you something, Wildfire.” The Shadow Prince, formerly known as Slaying the Shadow Prince, is a novella for the incredible series Legends of Thezmarr by Helen Scheuerer! Before getting into it, I please ask that if you read LoT, that you read it in the below order. The emotional impact order and the best way to read! Legends of Thezmarr (original series) Blood & Steel Vows & Ruins The Shadow Prince (novella and a MUST before book 3 in my option) Fate & Furies Shadow & Storms Ashes of Thezmarr (spin off - whilst this can be read on its own, it includes huge spoilers for the original series so a little warning) Iron & Embers Thorns & Fire Silver & Smoke The Shadow Prince follows the story of Talemir and Drue. Drue wants vengeance against the Shadow Wraiths. Talemir has a secret: he’s half Shadow Wraith. This is true enemies to lovers. Drue HATES Talemir and it’s kind of hilarious 🤭 but this book is still my favourite novella to date. It gave me all the feels, more back story and really made book 3 make so much more sense. That is all I’m going to say, because you just need to trust me and read Thezmarr for yourself!

MY WONDERFUL DISGRACE || 🪩 Unrequited love, Deception, And the tragic fate of one innocent goat. My Wonderful disgrace is a YA book that follows Amy in the lead up to her year 12 ball and the tragic events of the ball. It’s hilarious and ridiculous in parts but actually highlights well the way teenagers think. And we all teenage decisions can be questionable at best! 🫣🤭 I enjoyed the way this book was set up. Through Amy’s journal, group text chats, police transcripts and statements etc, it made this book more interesting and fast paced. I can definitely see teens enjoying and relating to this book. I did like the way that some teenagers had to take responsibility for their actions, and I liked how courageous Amy was in the face of all the adversity. I think these are really important lessons for kids! I did, however, find some of the characters a little juvenile considering they were 17/18 years old. The downside for me was using the “tragic fate of an innocent goat”. I 100% know this was written in jest and absolutely nothing intended against animals but it just didn’t sit right with me as an empath. I think there are many ways an animal could have been included, kept alive and still been hilarious. Thank you so much to @walkerbooksaus for sending me an arc copy & finished copy of this book to review.

BOOK STACK FOR A CAUSE || 💚 QOTD - how do you show up for yourself daily to keep your mental health in check? May is Mental Health Awareness month which is represented by a green ribbon 💚 @ashs_enchanted_reads tagged me in an enchanted forest stack and @bookishlycourtney tagged me in an eye colour challenge so I thought I would do one post 🥺 My eye colour is weird and quite unique I think. I’ve always said they’re green but after research they’re probably hazel. They look green on the outside and have a gold starburst around the iris. With grey patches. Every photo I take, they are a different colour. If you look up Rihanna, my eyes are VERY similar to hers. I struggle to find things that I like about myself but my eyes have always been something I liked. Mental health has always sadly played a massive part in my life, from a rough childhood, divorced parents with games, parents leaving in the middle of the night, being blamed for that, bullying, struggling academically and undiagnosed ASD & ADHD. It’s still a battle to show up every single day and be present. The work I need to do to keep my mental health in check is insane. But I actually enjoy life now 🥰 most of my life I felt like I didn’t belong and fit in 🥺 Also speaking of mental health, if you didn’t see my stories last night. We need to do better at educating our kids on what it means to be diverse and inclusive. I will do whatever it takes to protect Ariana’s mental health 🖤 Tagging a few and you can choose any of the 3 stack challenges but of course no pressure 🥰

THE CALAMITY CLUB || 💙 QOTD - what’s a book you’ve read this year that’s outside of your usual genre? I think this is one of the most beautiful PR boxes & proofs I’ve ever received! 🥺 and can we talk about how chonky this book is!! I am so excited to read this book 🫶🏼 The Calamity Club by @kathrynstockettauthor is out now 💙 BLURB || 🤍 Oxford, Mississippi, 1933. Eleven-year-old Meg Lefleur has learned the hard way to rely on no one. Ever since her beloved mother failed to come home last Christmas Eve, she’s been one of the ‘unadoptable’ girls at the town’s orphanage, where she fights each day to keep her wits sharp and her spirit unbowed. When she meets Birdie, a young woman who has come to Oxford determined to remind her socialite sister of the impoverished family she left behind, for the first time in a long while it seems someone else might care about Meg’s future. But as the Depression tightens its grip, Birdie begins to suspect her sister’s charmed life may be founded on a tapestry of lies. Then, Birdie encounters Charlie, a woman haunted by loss who has been pushed to the brink with nothing left to lose. Drawn together by circumstance, they find unexpected kinship among a disreputable, determined band of women. But in a town steeped in hypocrisy, even the smallest act of defiance can have dangerous consequences... Thank you so much @penguinbooksaus for this gorgeous PR box 💙

OUR PERFECT STORM || 💜 QOTD - what genre do you read for a palette cleanser? Happy release day @carleyfortune 🫶🏼 Our Perfect Storm is about two best friends, Frankie and George. They have been inseparable since they were 8 years old and clash but always come back together. But when Frankie’s fiancé leaves her the night before their wedding, leaving behind only a note, her life comes crashing down. With the honeymoon already booked and not wanting it to go to waste, Frankie and George decide to go. Two friends. 7 days. One last chance to fall in love or fall apart. This book hurt me. A lot! Although there were sad moments, it was just the mention of a particular event and Frankie working through her grief of that event that really struck a chord. Having been through it myself, I wish I had the same outcome 🥺 I really lovely the way Carley writes. As you know, I’m not a massive contemporary romance reader, but this story completely captivated me. I really didn’t want to put the book down and read it in two sittings 🥺 Frankie is stubborn, feisty, strong willed, kind and loyal. A creative foodie. George is smart, charismatic, patient, caring and also loyal. Their commitment to their friendship is so beautiful. They balance each other so well. I love the settings and all the descriptions were so beautifully written. Overall, this was a really beautiful book and I’m so glad I read it! It felt so cosy and warm. Thank you so much to Tanaya & @penguinbooksaus for a gifted copy of this book 🖤
