Considered one of the most important names in the current Brazilian jazz scene, Joabe Reis makes his debut Australian tour backed up by a legendary all star band including @crackedsuzies & @luxtrevis Get ready from some of the finest Brazilian Jazz/Funk... Joabe has played at major festivals such as: The Town (SP) on the same stage as Jacob Collier, Snarky Puppy and Kamasi Washington; was invited by Shawn Mendes as a special guest at Lollapalooza BR and toured across Europe with sold-out shows at Ronnie Scott and Jamboree. Joabe runs the Dejavu jam sessions which have featured some of the most influential musicians in Brasil including Seu Jorge, Gabi Guedes, Kainã do Jeje and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Bob Mintzer, Theo Crocker, Elliot Mason, Robin Eubanks, Toninho Horta, Family Company, Macy Grey, Nelson Ayres, Gabriel Grossi, and Ed Motta. Heavily influenced by the music of his home country Brasil, Lux’s tunes consist of heavy percussive grooves and tight horn arrangements.
