My first “destination” wedding within the Western Cape, and what a beautiful one it was ✨
Travelling all the way from Cape Town to the quiet, charming town of Prince Albert felt like stepping into another world for the weekend. From the moment I arrived at De Bergkant, I knew this wedding was going to be something special. Every detail felt intentional, refined, and beautifully considered — an aesthetic wedding in every sense of the word.
From day one, Elske and I felt very aligned creatively. She works in branding and fashion, and I still remember how much it meant to me when she complimented my own branding and presentation. She was someone who truly appreciated detail, artistry, and thoughtful design, and that reflected so effortlessly throughout her entire wedding weekend.
Her bridal inspiration actually came from an editorial shoot I created for ELLE Magazine, which she had found on my feed — so bringing her vision to life felt especially meaningful 🤍
And then she stepped into her dress… honestly, she looked as though she had walked straight out of the pages of a fashion editorial. Everything about her felt timeless, chic, and quietly statement-making — from the jewellery pieces she designed herself to the dress, the shoes, the textures, the styling… every element reflected her love for fashion, art, and design so beautifully.
From the intimate ceremony in the quaint little church in Prince Albert, to pre-drinks amongst the dramatic beauty of the Swartberg Pass valleys, the entire celebration felt cinematic in the most understated way.
Elske & Michael are truly such beautiful humans, and it was such a privilege to be part of this unforgettable weekend ✨
