I know many of you reading this will be at our forest rave this Friday 🌲✨ I just want to say how blessed I feel to have such talented, thoughtful, creative, and genuinely amazing people around me; people I get to build worlds and spaces with. At some point I casually told Daria (@daria.zakharova._ ) I wanted to experiment with epoxy resin as a material. Together we made this piece: a very experimental diffuser and reflector at the same time. Now it’s part of our setup, and we hang it at our raves ✨ There’s been so much creativity, so many discoveries and collaborations with you all. Sending love to all the communities I’m part of — Mooncows, Herding Cats, the local and global burner's fam, and to all other friends, who are all beautifully unique little snowflakes ❄️💛 photo credits @marcelcutts

Better late than never ✨ Re-discovered these beautiful photos (huge thanks Sean Toole (@drhvsb ), Kirill (@kburenkov ) & an unknown photographer) — The Cemetery of Pointless Ambitions became the true culmination of the whole “Katya’s balls” saga. “It’s like being inside Katya’s (@katerinaloschinina ) head” (c) Inessa — and it really was. Everything came together even better than I imagined. With this post I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made it happen 🤍 Bennie (@benpol ), Milo (@milobird ) — my inspiration Inessa (@ne4ayanno ) — my main lighting inspirer Lucy (@lustration ) – our one and only, the best PR manager, the artist behind the logo. St. Anthony preached to the fish. I preach to cucumbers. My performance: The Pickle Mass. Special thanks to Benny (@benpol ) for the support, Henry for helping me with the pickle crown (@angrydwarfjewellery ) and Marcel (@marcelcutts ) for the photos 🤍 One of my challenges for 2026 is to make art without looking over my shoulder. If it doesn’t work — try again. Improve. Don’t hide. Show it, even when it’s raw. This first performance wasn’t perfect — the acoustics wasn’t right, and I didn’t yet know how to bring the room into silence. There’s still so much to refine, so much to learn. But it’s an incredibly engaging, transformative path. As a marketer, I’ve always been a kind of “grey cardinal” — telling other people’s stories, helping shape and present them beautifully. And there was never enough time for my own story. Now it feels deeply exciting to flip the table — and the cards on it.

me as Our Lady of Broccoli 🥦 Years ago (honestly, I don’t remember when or how), a roll of color film ended up in my luggage — at a time when I didn’t even own a film camera. That roll traveled through several countries and apartments, survived very questionable storage conditions, and most likely expired a little 😅 Last December, while unpacking random stuff in my new place, I found a disposable film camera. I loaded the tired film into it — and off we went together to Dahab, where I was doing a freediving course with friends. Yesterday, the film was finally developed :) I actually love the results: the streaks, the haze, the overall turquoise softness. Feels very Red Sea 🪸

Completely out of blue. Sharing my latest street photos. Back in spring I was photographing for a startup’s website that helps distinguish AI from non-AI content, and they needed lots of images of real people and real London streets. I went along a route from Brick Lane to Barbican, then Waterloo, Southbank, and Camden Market — probably shot about a thousand pictures in one day, and somehow also managed to get every single person to sign a release on the go. One more detail: the client was very particular about me shooting on a Leica (my Sony A1 wasn’t good enough for them because of some old AI licensing rules).

For the third year in a row, I’m designing the identity for the Georgian Burn. Though I’m not sure it’s entirely accurate to call it Georgian — it’s more like a Russian Burn set in Georgia. This year’s theme is Tramontana. It’s a cold, dry wind that blows south from the mountains into Italy and the western Mediterranean. And it’s also, of course, the name of a well-known song by Boris Grebenshchikov. In a 2005 interview, @bgrebenshikov said this about the song: “Locals boast that it drives people mad. There are legends that when guests step outside during the tramontana, the hotel owners advise them to put two bricks in their pockets — so they don't get blown away. The cliffs you see in Dalí’s paintings? They’re no joke. That’s really what they look like. The tramontana has carved them like that.” I never asked my friends why they chose Tramontana as this year’s theme for our local Burn. On an intuitive level —it’s obvious. On a rational level — good luck explaining it. I’ll just share a few of the meanings; the rest, you’ll have to find for yourselves. In the image, there’s a wind rose. It’s also a wheel of fortune. Also a wheel of samsara. You can’t step into the same river twice — but where does that river go? The ouroboros competes with the holy spirit — both are right. We go round and round. But there is hope, there is a way out. The mascots surrounding the rose are archetypal. They represent the four elements and the four tarot suits. Each one is also a person in carnival costume — a nod to the festival itself, to the individual camps, and to other archetypes from various cultures and religions. So, that’s what came out of it.

Ready for the #tbt?🙃 No, this isn’t an AI-generated image of me as a porn star. It’s actually a portrait of me from 2011. Even I barely recognize myself in it. (Damn, I look like such a babe here—if only someone had told me that back then!) By @why_not_corp

I generally liked the idea of doing Throwback Thursday; it's a good reason to post your photos, which otherwise would sit forgotten in the archives and no one would ever see them 😅. Sometimes, those jars of pickles need to be taken out of the cellar! About three years ago, my friends rented an apartment in a converted church. I lived literally in the house next door (it just happened that way). And every time I returned home in the dark, I admired the familiar light from the rose window on the Gothic façade. All the cards from this deck are now well shuffled: I no longer live on that street, but now I share a house with Maya (the little girl in the photo, who has already grown into a real teenager). Ilya seems to have left London for good. Svyat lives nearby, but we rarely see each other. Anya lives in Moscow... what else? Yes, the pink lamp. The pink lamp stands on my left-hand side, so that someone returning home in the dark can look out at the familiar crimson window.
