What if the meaning of life was never meant to be contemplated? What if life itself was the meaning? What if you and I are the me-aning?
The mind could be seen as an evolutionary tool for keeping us safe by processing, storing, and judging information to predict patterns when later experiencing the same sensory input. The algorithm is only going to run on old data if left undressed. When operating from the "unawakened" mind, we never experience anything new. Everything gets filtered through outdated formulas and we project our past into our present and future. We limit the depth of experience to a small set of outcomes and the meaning of life becomes stifled.
On the other side of the coin, we can use the mind for imagination. This function serves as a key that can free us from the past, but if not approached from an embodied place, has the potential to lock us away from present. When we dissociate from reality, our imagination looks more like fantasy and we never get a footing in life. When grounding in the physical, our mind serves as a force for consciously co-creating our lives (and thus their meaning).
The masculine dominance of our time has stripped away and distorted the value of the feminine experience which is needed to fully participate and find harmony in the dual nature of our existence. The word magic implies being able to influence the course of events, and "mage" is a person who practices magic. We are made in God's I-MAGE so our birthright is to be able to merge the mental and physical. Center yourself between the mind and body, balance the energies of heaven and earth, and you will become the meaning you are searching for.
Keeping an open mind is critical. Our brains are designed to take in new information, to learn, to expand. It is our beliefs that limit what is possible for us. Our mind is a prediction machine. It will draw from past experiences to assume what could happen in the present and future. If we attach to this, we stay stuck in a closed circle, get dizzy, and disorient from reality. These patterns hold us captive unless we move forward with curiosity. Make friends with the unknown. Draw upon the wisdom of the Fool card. Stop holding onto the past and you'll travel to places you didn't know existed.
This page is years in the making. Instead of using my mental energy to create content, I've worried-- projecting baseless fears that what I want to share won't be valuable enough. But what if there was value? That possibility wouldn't dare cross my mind.
When we take too long to move forward with our callings or to follow our intuition, we can get stuck and stagnant. We get stuck in the forethought and lose the momentum for the follow through.
Will you join me today in taking a step into the present? Are there any narratives that can be put aside to test out the reality of the situation?
