Between fittings and production, this is the other world I spend my time building.
Sometimes I think my classroom practice and fashion practice are actually the same thing:
performance, transformation, character, confidence, storytelling, emotional language, improvisation, play.
A lot of L’Uomo Strano was shaped between lesson plans, costume bins, bulletin boards, fabric piles, and conversations with kids learning how to express themselves out loud.

First debuted at @fashionarttoronto on the stunning @kannieduong after being built by @pigeonsandthread I’ve loved how this set has travelled and been re-interpreted by icons like @garconnnne , @amber__watkins + now the legend that is @tanika_charles . Each wearer has left their own imprint and I couldn’t be more grateful 🤍🐆🖤//
