It was our pleasure to venture backstage at @eurovision earlier this week thanks to our friends at @sennheiser
As ever, the televised spectacular is a masterclass in technical collaboration, precision and artistry, with plenty of cutting-edge tech being showcased on the world stage.
⚙️Tech talk:
This year’s show at Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle features the largest Spectera set-up from Sennheiser to date, including pre-release samples of a yet-to-be-launched handheld transmitter.
Elsewhere, the camera setup has been upgraded to cinematic @arri Alexa 35 live cameras, bringing a more filmic look to Eurovision than ever before. It’s also the first major public outing for ARRI with its new parent, @riedelcommunications – once again providing artist comms.
Plus, for the first time the massive lighting rig is all LED and laser sourced – making it more energy efficient.
Above the stage – designed by Florian Wieder - a kinetic lighting rig includes some 80 high-speed moving-light winches which make for some stunning effects in the hands of lighting designer Tim Routledge.
