The historic Jersey Opera House has re-established itself as a premier live venue following a significant refurbishment with audio upgrades to match. Californian native and the award-winning Living Hope singer Phil Wickham, has hit the road with a pair of Quantum338 Pulse consoles for his US Songs of the Saints spring and autumn tour! On the road, the consoles are being piloted by FOH helmsman Daniel Ellis and monitor maven Adam Snyder. “We’ve both used DiGiCo and Quantum extensively over the years,” says Snyder. “In fact, most of my touring experience has been on DiGiCo, and Quantum, specifically the past four years. With a new DiGiCo Quantum225 at front of house and KLANG:vokal+ handling immersive monitoring, Good Shepherd Church has taken its setup to the next level – giving every musician the space and control they need on stage. As Worship Arts Pastor Chris Macedo explains: “The KLANG:vokal+ upgrade brought us from 24 channels to 64, a huge step up and gave certain musicians, such as our drummers, tons more flexibility in terms of setting up the percussion space for everyone. […] All of our vocalists use it, all of our drummers use it. A lot of our inputs are in stereo, so having that immersive space really helps them to dial in the width and the placement of everything inside of the mix. This week, we travelled to Sweden for a series of seminars arranged by Soundware, generously hosted by rental company Soundforce in their impressive new Blackbox rehearsal space. In addition to unveiling the first Q225DS to arrive in Scandinavia, we joined teams with fourier audio and Sound Devices to deliver a comprehensive programme of seminars throughout the day. The band James remains a British rock institution, and we had the privilege of visiting their tour as it arrived in Cardiff.
