Yesterday @mummybarrow and I had a great day with the trustees and patrons of @themelevansmbe over at SITraN discussing the strategic plans to raise the profile of the charity, to raise more funds, to make a huge impact in the fight to find a cure for #MND
But the biggest thing that stood out to me was the drive, determination, the love, the hope from @lpritchatt and how she continues to keep Mel's legacy alive 🫶
I have been lucky enough to get to know @lpritchatt as we navigate our MND journey, but never in this environment, for all of you who know lynn, you'll get it!!! For all of you who don't know lynn... it's hard to explain! But everyone needs a Lynn in their life.
Her passion, the want and need to help the 'MND Family' is unmatched.

Hi 👋. Please listen and SHARE. Dr Rachel Jakeman and I were on BBC Radio Oxford this week*. Lillia has familial MND (2% of people with SOD-1 gene). Rachel is Lillia’s step mum.
A FREE drug called Tofersen HALTS or slows down MND symptoms. But we need the NHS to fund it being administered as it is not yet approved by ‘NICE’. It costs a mere £8,000 per person per year. Families shouldn’t need to fund it!!!!!!
We need to get that NHS funding secured for the first EVER promising treatment for MND.

What an absolute honour and a privilege to be invited to visit the @rob7lindsey Rob Burrow centre for MND! Such a fantastic facility that will hopefully find a cure for this devastating disease, but the @leedshospcharity have created a lovely place to help all those families that are suffering with the condition 💙🧡 great to catch up with so many friends that I have made over the last few years and also to meet baby David @flatty65 such a special touch to see the planting of the “tree of hope” a sapling taken from the famous Sycamore Gap tree that was mindlessly cut down the other year! Special mention to Toby the architect on the project for his guided tour, so much had gone into this special place!
