We’ve had to do a few more tweaks to the chair, which is brilliant and we’re so grateful to Challenging MND for loaning it to us, we’re just making it a little more suited to my sitting position. Simon, Katie and Rachael are absolute geniuses and have made it so much more comfortable for me.
The team is growing with more friends and volunteers joining in. There’s now over 20 of us running together showing what true friendship is and how we can learn to overcome adversity together. I’m so grateful to each and every one of them for all their love and support.
Thank you so much to Run For All and Leeds Hospitals Charity for all the wonderful help in getting us prepared for next weekend. Such brilliant organisations with some of the best people you could ever wish to meet-thank you everybody.

4th run out and one I was going to be going far as only done a few short runs as been injured last 7 months. But then I engage the head and set a target to help my mate do is 7th marathon on day 7 and then a plan to get to my friends tree of hope. The love and respect I have for this man is unbelievable. His Jedi tricks must of known I’m over my injury nearly. How can I not be apart of team flatt after we done so much together. Looks like he’s put some team together again to help him get around Leeds marathon 2026. Yes 2026 so that gives me 4 weeks to get marathon ready. 1st I’ll be getting behind my brother @adrianos_8in8 on his 8in8 challenge which starts nx Sunday which I’ll be cycling next to him as can’t run that far as yet😩 anyone got a 4 week marathon training plan👀 @flatty65@leedshospcharity

We’ve been desperately searching for a running chair having reluctantly accepted that I can no longer drive the Tangerine Dream Machine for any length of time, an enormous thank you to Challenging MND who stepped in and delivered a chair to us this week.
I really thought that this years Jane Tomlinson's Run For All Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon would be beyond us, not just because of the chair but also because I know how many of our wonderful friends are injured and can’t possibly run with us.
However, as always they’re turning up, putting in a shift and trying to make it happen one way or another. It’s going to be a bit of a challenge for #teamflatt and we are a wee bit thin on the ground, so if you fancy joining in and taking a turn at pushing me, you would be very welcome and very much appreciated.
I promise singing is not compulsory, although it is incredibly enjoyable and uplifting. 😁

What an absolute honour and a privilege to be invited to visit the @rob7lindsey Rob Burrow centre for MND! Such a fantastic facility that will hopefully find a cure for this devastating disease, but the @leedshospcharity have created a lovely place to help all those families that are suffering with the condition 💙🧡 great to catch up with so many friends that I have made over the last few years and also to meet baby David @flatty65 such a special touch to see the planting of the “tree of hope” a sapling taken from the famous Sycamore Gap tree that was mindlessly cut down the other year! Special mention to Toby the architect on the project for his guided tour, so much had gone into this special place! We did it!! the @yorkshire3peakschallenge with 2 extra miles on to make it a marathon in 6 hours 43⛰️💙🧡🥁
Honestly we were well Behind on time as the body’s were hurting so much, and then my good friend @flatty65 turned up so we knew our why, and smashed it for him as today was all for him💙
