there’s no reason for this post really. only to say that, if you have friends who make music or make art or make anything, it’s of the utmost importance to listen, look, think about, experience their stuff. one day we’ll all be dead. I recently listened to this first full length, surgical pop. It’s a wild experience to listen to music that you’ve made. to think about the life that surrounded you. the stresses, the joys, etc. I’m really proud of this album & I remember making it once with
@russelledling_ and then the tapes got all messed up so I re-recorded it with
@memorytown__ . two wonderful friends who make insanely good music in their own rights. the artwork was made by my friend
@dyannabetts . she makes really great paintings. I also think it’s funny/cool that there’s no physical copy of this album lol. maybe someday. anyways, I just feel like with this capitalist shitscape we’re forced to endure, it’s a lovely gesture to just experience your friends or those that you admire in a more immediate sense. honestly, fuck famous people. fuck rich people’s music. fuck capitalism. fuck A.I. what the hell are we doing? lol I simply don’t understand anything. maybe I’ll delete this post because I drank a buncha coffee & became ~sentimental~. love to all. truly hope things get better for everyone in the world as soon as possible 🤍
