We shot this so, so long ago, back in April 2021, one of the first few videos that I'd ever produced.
This was a special one to be a part of for many reasons, one being that most of the crew could relate to the story of navigating two heritages/cultures in some way or another which resulted in a lot of love being poured in to the project from start to finish.

@_rosannalee who did such a beautiful job encapsulating the nuances of trying to understand your identity in what can sometimes feel like a limbo between both worlds. Shout out to all of the communities, especially the Chinese community in Southend, who really helped make this short happen and continue to show their support.
Parallel currently isn't on any online platforms yet but you can currently go view it at the British Library Exhibition 'Chinese and British'.
