It’s release day, buddies! 🕺🏼 Here’s one of the songs (called All Right Now) from the album! It’s been real lovely to hear the whole album again with fresh ears, and I’m really proud of how this song’s turned out - so I hope you enjoy it too ❤️ The song was originally written as a tongue-in-cheek self-soother, but it’s interesting how the meaning changes when it’s on top of pretty walking videos! 😁 The album’s streamable practically everywhere – please please add all the songs to relevant playlists & stick em on repeat until you’re thoroughly fed up (or sufficiently enriched) 😁 it’s been really helping us so far! ❤️ Love, George (& Rosie)

Ello friends! George here, our third single’s out today on Spotify & all them lot! 🕺🏼 This song means a lot to me. I’ve played guitar forever, but never had the confidence to sing – always mouse-quiet and turning inwards with every wrong note (I still do a bit tbf). But Ro encouraged me to start singing a year or so back – and while I’m not the most confident or competent singer, I’m not worried about being the next Boy With The Angel Voice. It’s been amazing to actually just DO it, to take some lessons and be able to hold a tune long enough to create something that didn’t exist before. And what’s really given me life isn’t just singing, but singing *together*. It feels like such an innately human thing to do. It feels likely that as soon as people could talk, we sang and told stories – we connected. This connection doesn’t really exist anymore, aside from the rare occasions – the campfire and pub singalongs aren’t really part of the everyday fabric of our society. And that’s a massive shame, don’t you think? Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I hope you enjoy the song and I hope that we can sing together soon.

Much love ❤️

It’s release day 🌞 Our debut album’s title track ‘Idle’ is out now! It’s the biggie that wraps up the album. Summer’s teasing us but is being slow about it - it’s got us feeling simultaneously energised and like we’d just like to do nothing, to just Be. I wrote it when I was feeling the push and pull of life particularly intensely - so much to do, all the time, under the Capital Pressure To Be Valuable. I’ve been learning about the concept of inherent worth, which might sound silly at the big old age of 26 but I think it can take a lifetime to embody it. Regardless of how much money we make, how good we are at social situations, how quickly we move towards our goals, we are enough simply because we exist. A lot of the words here are tongue in cheek repetitions of Capital attitudes towards “Non-Real” work mixed with the self-criticism that comes when you let those attitudes creep in. But it’s also a calling out for balance; embracing my inner “slacker” in the face of everything else, filling my cup, and using that energy for the right things. I hope you like it 🌞 Check it out on Spotify through the link in our bio (and pls add to playlists if it tickles yer pickle – it really helps us out!) Much love,
Rosie ❤️ [P.S. George hopes you like it too]

It’s been a while! We got engaged (!!!!💗) so have been doing lots of planning and generally being busy winter worker bees 🐝. There’re songs in the pipeline though and we hope to be able to share some of that soon. For now, happy new year! (Ps, yes, we too joined the Cameron cult in 2025 - how nice is it to see an artist that’s creating immediately timeless music get their flowers?! 🌷)

Introducing my artists for November’s Writer’s Round … @danielfmcguinness one of the loveliest guys I’ve ever met, Daniel is a Kent based artist regularly backed by @bbcintroducing . His music features on @caffenero in store playlist & he has reached the finals of UK songwriting contest 4 times !! Daniel also gets bonus points from me for coming to watch the show a number of times before 🫶🏼 @lorelfolk Lorel are a Folkestone based duo with gorgeous harmonies and folky tones. They have also had regular plays on BBC Introducings in Kent with @abbiejmccarthy 🎧 I recently worked with @georgemoulos on my live recording of Places & People and a secret upcoming track… Tickets are on eventbrite / link in bio and we’ve already somehow sold 5 tickets before even announcing the tickets on sale so it’s looking like a good one !! Go go go #writersround #lucymaywalker #songwriterscircle

Ello friends, George here! I’m so psyched to announce that we’re opening up for @joshuaburnside this coming Tuesday at @thelighthouse50 in Deal! It’s one of my favourite venues and Joshua’s one of my favourite contemporary songwriters – I saw him at @smugglersfestival having never listened to his music and was completely blown away by the strength of the live performance, so went straight to Spotify and the songs have been in all the playlists since. A real real treat 😁 It’d be lovely to see some friendly faces, and we’re starting to record our new album this weekend, so we might even try out a few new ones! (Ticket link in The Lighthouse’s bio) 💫

Strange News #3 Live acoustic music from @forestfloor @lorelfolk and @_evie.binks and (if he looks at his phone between now and then and is up for it) folkloric vinyl interjections from @ootshepherd DJ Shepard aka Joe from Out Of Town. If not, I’ll do it. ⭐️ Forestfloor - Slowcore indiefolk offering a direct and dynamic mix of intricate guitar interplay with emotive vocal harmonies. ⭐️ Lorel - George and Rosie’s hopeful contemplations, lovingly sewn into melodic, comforting folk songs are delivered with a tenderness and charm that commands, quietly. ⭐️ Evie Binks - Delicate and melancholic, Evie’s lo-fi bedroom indie folk will be played out in public for the first time…….. The cosy welcome of @theblindpig.folkestone will be ideal; especially if you like your music paired with quality beer and/or pizza plus Thom’s delightful visage…. We’ll start at 2 and go til it’s done. Free entry but any tips warmly received! Do feel free to spread the word and help this reach people who may be keen. And good golly gosh, we’d love to see you. X

We’ve been donning our big ugly coats and stomping into the primordial woods of album creation (read: we’re working on new stuff). Boutta drop the wettest tracks of 2025 (at some point).
