Releasing my music on vinyl is something iโve wanted to do for a long time, and iโm so happy itโs finally happened. In this age of streaming and convenience, I find myself increasingly valuing the experience of picking out a record, putting it on the turntable and playing it from start to finish, usually while enjoying a cup of tea (black with no sugar - yes iโm weird). Itโs something I really wanted for my own music, and to think that folks out there can do this with songs iโve written is a really cool thought.
Iโve had a lot of fun designing the artwork, lyric sheets and inner labels (it felt like being back at school ๐ )! I wanted to create a physical piece of art that is an extension of the music, and give the listener something that you just canโt get with streaming.

This record contains some of my absolute favourite songs Iโve ever written, and I think itโs the perfect representation of who I am as an artist right now. After releasing a couple of these tracks as singles earlier this year, the response has been so lovely and iโm really excited to finally be releasing the whole EP. You can expect catchy hooks, big choruses and a generous helping of folk/rock/pop goodness to help you settle into the autumn season ๐

A few months ago, I sat down in my living room with an acoustic guitar and a couple of microphones and recorded live acoustic versions of some of my favourite songs of mine.
It was a lot of fun to revisit and record these tunes in the same way that I wrote them. Thereโs something about recording everything live that captures a raw energy which is really hard to replicate. It was a timely reminder that sometimes less really is more, especially when it comes to music.
p.s. yes the carpet is awful ๐
