This isn’t just a fridge - it’s an all-star showcase, a gallery of masterfully made meat and fine food by a network of artisan suppliers, that can only be described as art. We framed this elevated offering in a series of fine refrigeration units, elegantly housed beside service drawers and a POS station, within a continuous piece of custom timber joinery. Integrated storage in inspired forms. These anodised copper shelves began as freehand sketches, following a conversation on heritage, reverence for craft and the Puharich family’s Croatian roots. Fabricated by DiEmme Creative, the fine copper detailing represents a contemporary reimagining of opulent arches found in places of worship, in a space dedicated to the celebration of food. The fine linear design is an effectively subtle backdrop for @victorchurchill.melbourne ’s wares to shine, while being robust and functional enough to make a confident impression at the store entry. Inspired by the grand arches and Baroque architecture native to the client’s homeland of Croatia, the intricate copper framework overhead defines and emphasises the full volume of the space at @victorchurchill.melbourne . From initial freehand sketches, to the delicate copper 3D wireframe we see here - we developed a contemporary homage to historic built language, remaining true to the existing character established at @victorchurchill.sydney , in an entirely original response.
