Our first collaboration with @icamiami Art + Research Center now has its first official exhibition. After weeks of work, Cohort 20 is ready to present Liminal Field, featuring the work of 11 artists from around the world. The exhibition opens alongside Harmony Korine: Perfect Nonsense at ICA Miami. The opening will take place both online and offline, allowing audiences in Miami and beyond to participate. Liminal Field explores what it means to move through technology rather than simply use it. Bringing together immersive, digital, and virtual environments, from metaverse confessions to game-like worlds, the exhibition traces fragile connections between the visible and the hidden, the human and the non-human.Is it possible to listen for signals within these environments, to attune to subtle tensions between beauty and fragility, sensation and structure? Moving through layered digital terrains where memory, media, and deep time overlap, Liminal Field considers what kinds of relationships can take root within these spaces of passage. When poetry can become bigger than ourselves. This past Monday, we once again welcomed @neysaking for a Writing Workshop, which is already becoming a Loop classic. We spent time listening to these beautiful texts through different voices; we also wrote without the pressure of having to sound poetic, beautiful, or “good,” and read our texts aloud.

Re-Turn by @duality.live is part of our current exhibition Liminal Field, featuring the first artwork to introduce an AI agent inside the space!! Re-Turn investigates the potential of enframing through AI agents, exploring relation, interaction, and reconfiguration. ON VIEW ONLINE & at @icamiami through MAY 25

During our weekly art critique sessions, we also host workshops to learn new tools. Today we had an introduction to XR Creator, the @onland.io tool we use to build our environments. It’s accessible to everyone, yet offers endless creative possibilities, that’s why Ariel Baron Robbins guided us through how to use it. After that, we continued with our regular critiques, exchanging thoughts on the work each artist is developing.

Hello artists of Cohort 21!! We are going through our weekly gatherings with Cohort 21 ; @doreenrios accompanies us, and together we share ourselves, teach one another, and learn from each other. We create unique conversations, ask questions, and try to answer them, sometimes with words, sometimes through the creation of a work. What is experienced here is truly magical. Hide & Seen by @auroramititelu is a 3D-printed sculpture composed of text messages from ongoing conversations with Abel. The texts combine personal archives, fiction, and generative AI dialogues to capture how reality becomes unstable when intimacy unfolds through messaging interfaces. The work is part of a larger body of work centered on Abel, Aurora’s synthetic partner and male counterpart. Hide & Seen is part of our current exhibition, LIMINAL FIELD. Bueno, esto es realmente genial! Now in Loop, we can understand each other in multiple languages. Thanks to @knightfdn and @onland.io , we can use Loop spaces while choosing to read and access transcriptions in different languages. This is a big step forward, because speaking English is no longer a requirement.

From the spatial internet to the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami @icamiami , we move through screens toward human encounter, then immerse ourselves in them again, connecting with the works and artists of our current exhibition. LIMINAL FIELD is an online exhibition that expanded into physical gatherings in Rio de Janeiro and at @icamiami , where we shared the event alongside the opening of Harmony Korine: Perfect Nonsense. During the event, we also featured a live performance by @lisasmolkin from her artwork. The exhibition can be experienced online 24/7 and at @icamiami through May 25. Special thanks to the entire @icamiami team, the artists, @onland.io , and everyone who joined us.
