Lonefront’s music displays a deep understanding and knowledge of modern tools while staying true to a sound that is heavy, proper, and staunchly rooted in techno’s American Midwest tradition.
As a resident with Intellephunk his sets have helped set the tone at The Great Beyond festival for many editions, and he has been supported by DVS1 for performances that have included the very first (unofficial) Wall of Sound in LA in 2021. He has performed alongside artists such as Luke Slater, Surgeon, Erika, and BMG. His label Uncoiled features music selected by DVS1, Donato Dozzy, and DJ Nobu and has releases on labels including Enemy (DE), Codec (DE), and Kajunga (Minneapolis).
For the heads, and by the heads, Synthesis aims to showcase the deeper, proper spectrum of the techno soundscape in an intimate setting. We are capping this event at 200 max - secure a ticket before they’re gone!

This one is special for a few reasons - most important is that PR has one of the best sounding rooms in North America, imo. 2026 also marks a decade of performing at Intellephunk events, it’s crazy to look back at how much the scene in Minneapolis has grown over that time. To share this occasion with @yasmeenahxo & @echotrx , who both recently relocated to NYC from Minneapolis, represents that growth in an inspiring way. Equally honored to share the occasion with @dustin_zahn & @__kxah both incredibly hard-working in their own right.
Also, I’d like to express disdain for the irreparable damage to my psyche that @sard caused by imploring me to atone for my crime of not having seen Berserk. I watched it, and now im big mad. Grateful for my friends and family 🖤

@__isabelsoto makes her Los Angeles debut with an extended 3 hour set. A proper introduction, experienced the way it should be. Time to build, to shift, to take the room somewhere deeper.
@lonefront joins us with a live performance, bringing that raw and evolving Midwest energy that only live hardware can deliver.
@dna_techno.ofc completes the night, grounding the experience with a sound rooted in tension and control.
From 9am until 3pm, in a very intimate room. Limited capacity by design.

The faintest whisper of spring begins to float across the frozen tundra. The ice which clung to the cement just weeks ago begins the transition, dripping slowly through its path of least resistance. The animals of the urban jungle poke out from their hovels, uncertain yet hopeful, catching a glimpse of the sun they had nearly forgotten. The subtle changes on the surface are only a muted reflection of the turmoil below.
We must escape Winter’s sedative tractor beam by any means necessary. Our dance is a thruster, accelerating orbit towards Summer’s loving embrace. Through our collective action we push our home into its next chapter. Through our dance we push the flowers to the surface from below.

I met Ross under a bridge.
He was playing as Lonefront. Concrete above us. Sound folding into itself. That kind of night where you don’t know if you’re witnessing something small or something sacred.
Like most of us in this community, we kept running into each other. Different floors. Different rooms. Red Sea. Warehouses. Patios. That familiar orbit you develop around certain frequencies.
Stevie entered my awareness through Ross.
And something shifted for me.
There’s an illusion we carry when we meet artists. We project onto them. Depth. Distance. Myth. Or sometimes the opposite. We flatten them. Make them smaller so we don’t feel intimidated.
But in our world, that illusion doesn’t last long.
We’re just people. Sweating. Hauling gear. Paying rent. Holding each other up.
Not “regular” in their artistry... but human in the best way.
What moves me about Stevie and Ross isn’t just their individual sound. It’s the current between them. When partners make art together, there’s a different charge. A shared nervous system. A shorthand. A trust you can feel in the room.
Watching them play side by side feels intimate. Not in a romanticized way, but in a lived way. Two people choosing each other in life, and choosing to build sound together.
It mirrors something I understand deeply.

Saturday Jan 31st at 4pm! We kick off this years programming with a special live hardware set by Minneapolis electronic artist @lonefront and a DJ set by talented LA-based artist @agraybe at @mcasandiego 🌊 We are also hosting a pop-up news stand with our friends @burn_all_books 🗞️
This event is FREE and all ages from 4pm-8pm at the Jacobs Hall in MCASD La Jolla with a live sunset view overlooking the ocean. There will be floor seating and a custom Klipsch soundsystem for an immersive sound experience 🌅
