We’re still reflecting on the impact of our 1st Annual Teach It Forward event 💫
What began as a vision through the IDEA Innovation Grant from the Provost’s Office grew into a powerful space rooted in mentorship, community dialogue, and shared wisdom. Through Kappa Delta Pi and Urban Education, we had the privilege of bringing together students and professionals committed to uplifting one another and “teaching it forward.”
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us. Your presence, openness, and thoughtful contributions sparked meaningful reflection and renewed hope in the work we do. A special thank you to our incredible panelists, Ms. Tejeda, Ms. Reyes, Ms. Anderson, Mr. Kaba, Dr. Anthony, and Mr. Westbrooks, our dedicated KDP student leaders, and our talented photographer and videographer, Samuel, for capturing these moments so beautifully.
This event reminded us of the power of shared space and collective voice, and how mentorship, encouragement, and connection can shape not only careers, but also communities.
