Our house Dulnain, has been nominated for a Scottish Design Award.
This humble home is made from recycled stone and is located in the middle of the beautiful National Park.
The category is typically incredibly strong, so being included alongside such wonderful designers is testament to the hard work and commitment of the design team.

At present, there is a newfound appreciation for modernism in the UK. The principles of open plan design within the home and often with direct access to outdoor space within a semi-private shared garden, is one which we are seeing growing in popularity.
The Haddo Estate, located just next to the iconic Parliament Hill Lido and Hampstead Heath is a great example of this. A couple of years ago we were lucky enough to work on a garden flat in this estate, which was designed in the late 1960s by Robert Bailey.
With our great clients, we sought to connect the home to it's private garden, with a series of calm living spaces centred around the kitchen and dining table.
The flat recently went up for sale, and is well worth a look if you're looking for a place in this lovely piece of North London. We've added a link in our bio - please go and have a look.

Last night Iain Monteith took part in @site_and_sound event at @thegardencinema focusing on the relationships between cinema and architecture and in particular the theme of ‘A to B’.
Iain presented his thoughts on ‘The Copa Shot’ (directed by @martinscorsese_ and filmed by Larry McConkey) and discussed its importance in cinema history and architecturally in terms of moving through thresholds, creating interactions and considering projects from ‘street to seat’.
As well as presenting the scene and explaining its creation through memory, vision, artistic skill and technical ability, Iain also produced an illustration to explain the journey that takes place to form the scene.
He demonstrated the significance of illustration as a communication method to document such experiences through the work of @louiskahnarchitect , @sw_arch and his son’s own drawing of a day out for pizza!
A great night was had by all.
A special thanks to @site_and_sound@clickclickjim@rob_fiehn and shout out to presenters @marc.r.isaacs@sharonlam@thegardencinema@street_to_seat and to everyone that came along.

An all too familiar sight: Glasgow’s heritage on a precipice.
Matt Loader’s remarks in @dezeen
touch on a genuinely thorny issue: the repeated fires affecting historic buildings in Glasgow are not the result of a single failure, but a systemic problem sitting at the intersection of economics, policy, and heritage stewardship.

Eireann and Jamie B were on site this week at our A listed townhouse development in Glasgow's west end. The townhouse is being developed into multiple apartments.
Both the townhouse and muse buildings have been extensively altered over their lifetime and are going under extensive redevelopment and restoration works.
This project has been a great opportunity for us to combine our conservation skills along with our dynamic design ethic.
