One of my fav dresses on this hot day! This is another #skylinedress, this time with the bodice mod where you swap the back and front pieces to keep the tie in front. Fabric is a super soft blue and white brushed cotton gingham from @lyricalfabrics !

Today’s #memademay is a #champagnefielddress with no bottom ruffle and a square neckline. The fabric is a slightly thick cotton from VT, but it was perfect for today’s whale watch and the temp drop on the water!

Brimfield #memademay! Wearing this gingham dress that’s been modified a bunch of times so I’m not even sure at this point what the original pattern was. It was too cold to show it off today, but I wore it!

One of my first (and still best) skirts I’ve made! This #omommeadow is a delightful pattern from @ohmeohmysewing - every time I wear it I wonder why I haven’t made another. I also base every self drafted skirt waistband on these directions. It’s so clean and nice! Fabric from @make.and.mend of course.

Back with a whole look! Another #dayscapetoppattern, this time in a thin flannel with long sleeves, and a classic #lanepants in a green linen-ish fabric. Honestly I’m not sure I love the fabric choice for the pants - on the body they are not that comfortable, but I like the drape? Maybe it’s the fit. Ugh pants are hard!

#memademay but make it theatre! Congrats to @freshinktheatre and @chuangstage for a fantastic reading, and frankly congrats to me, @jazzmingbonner , and @_mullet_angel for creating a dress code without talking to each other first.
The dress is a #sydtiedress from @hisydgraham in a linen-ish hot pink from @make.and.mend , of course! I left off the bottom ruffle of the dress to make it a shortie and I love it.
It’s a rainy day, almost all my activities are indoor chores, and I haven’t sewn with knit yet - time to honor my hobo bag from @tammy.handmade ! This cute quilted bag was a delight to make, and the hardest part was deciding which fabrics to use. The outer fabric is a red linen-type thing from @make.and.mend and the inside is a madras from Brimfield last year. Both fabrics were originally used for dresses, so I’m happy to find a use for the leftovers!

It’s a #rubyvest day for #memademay! I haven’t quite figured out how to make quilting pieces together more fun/meditative than annoying/boring, but I do love the results so I’m going to keep trying. I love the outer fabric, which I got from a sweet craft store in Montpellier VT. The inner black fabric was the devil and I think I threw the rest away.

Today I picked one of my many #skylinedress options! It’s one of my favorite patterns to sew - easy, flattering, and you can make so many variations from it. This one is a linen from Joanne’s (RIP) - I love the color and drape!
