reprinting zines for imaginary lake, sewing play pants for all well, prepping a pattern to sew as a gift — all these quiet things are slow and small and mean so much to me. I’ve been feeling grateful for the size and shape of my life these days, and all this quiet work is part of it. 💛
After telling her about my new, somewhat shabby basement cutting table, Amelia suggested that hanging up some little special prints and adding a task light could make it feel less shabby and more like an intentional space. Hanging these prints today felt so sweet! It feels good to make this cutting table feel like a real extension of my studio rather than a purely functional afterthought, a place I am pleased to spend time in! 🥰 prints are from @hellosunroom (their riso flyer subscription is one of my favorite things), @addiebeststudio (the little calendar postcard is from 2023, but do I care? no! It’s a delight!), plus a perfect little riso quilt sticker by @latenightcopies ☺️
I made something new and I feel cute! @merchantandmills clover top, a pattern I’ve had for ages using fabric I’ve had in my stash for ages. I’m trying to sew through patterns I bought years ago and never tried when I need a little creative detour and it has felt so fun. I love this top, excited to wear it, would definitely add another to my closet — maybe in a lightweight dark colored fabric? That sounds nice. Worn with my new #allwellcardigancoat plus my jeans and house slippers. Anyway, happy Monday! #handmadewardrobe
