run from yesterday morning testing out recent setup changes at Pheasant Wood. car now feels unreal with 20mm rack forward and high clearance LCA, wasn't allowed to drift the fun parts of the track though 🥲
QLD trip done! I decided it'd be a great idea to street drive the S15 1000km along with @brent.herfurth up to compete in @doublezerodrift
blew an axle boot on the way up, got knocked out early by @nickracsov after an OMT, and had my brake caliper seize during my first run in the hills. I persevered and still did a couple runs with no handbrake, and overall had the best time in Queensland - thank you everyone 😇
still in disbelief the car is untouched after this weekend, and made it back home with no major issues 😅

first time touching, but not crashing chasing @broken_30e yesterday at TBKristmas
new knuckles feel unreal, can definitely drive in a way that wasn't possible before. will be even better with some tweaking (to the car and my driving) and more clearance made to back off the lock stops. car somehow felt quicker than last time despite being much stiffer too lol
after incrementally lowering ride height and progressing my driving over the past year, I decided it was time to have the car's suspension setup reflect what I actually use it for. this meant sending the coilovers back to @shockworks_suspension to make them suitable for this height, and changing to @gktech_official 's grip/drift knuckle.
spring rates have been changed from 9/6kg to 12/8kg, and the damper rod lengths have been reduced by 30mm. also, the stock lock stops were finally cut off and replaced with adjustable items by @thirdstrikeben .
steering lock is currently limited by the inside of the rim barrel hitting the LCA on the trailing wheel, but am keen to test it out in a couple days regardless ðŸ«

snuck in some pics between judging @revolutionmotorsport 's comp at pheasant wood with @stephen.bamford86 & @marcello_trinco over the past couple days 🤓
also did a couple laps on Friday morning to help set the layout - I didn't think the car could feel this good at its current height, 60psi in the front and some minor tub clearancing has done wonders for it
was too afraid for my car to enter and compete, maybe next time 😅
