【Evening Concert Series: Zheng Hao + Hye Young Sin + Takako Suzuki/Xiang】 2026.05.12 (Tue) 19:30 door | 20:00 music 10–20€ sliding scale (on the door/cash only) encounters bookspace Prinzenallee 60, 13359 Berlin Born in Wuhan and based in London, Zheng Hao @room2n0g mostly uses electronics or electro-acoustic instruments for solo and group improvisation, while other times also makes unpleasant computer dance music. Enjoys gritty and gnarly textures as well as delicate, amorphous qualities in different sound and space. Hye Young Sin @hye.young.sin is a Berlin-based artist working across visual art, experimental music, and live performance. In her sound performances, she develops sonic constellations in which objects become instruments and collaborators. Using low-tech and DIY electronics, she interweaves sound and material behaviour, exposing tensions between human intention and material autonomy. Takako Suzuki @ts.tokiudon studied dance with Anzu Furukawa in Tokyo and at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig. A member of the dance ensemble at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin, she also collaborates closely with musicians. Xiang @llllx founded Vital Sounding Festival and organized the Daybreak Concert Series in Chengdu, Berlin and Beijing. Her work focuses on the subtle noises and blank spaces that are happening all around. Soldier will play at Counterflows @counterflowsfest tomorrow. 7:45pm April 11, Woodside Halls, Glasgow See you there! Soldier are an experimental duo, representing one aspect of the ongoing collaboration between Xiang and Yu Mingjing. Xiang and Yu first met at a sound workshop in Chengdu in 2018, arriving from their respective paths. A year later, they began collaborating within a site-specific context through the Gear Factory project, employing field recording, image, body and video as their materials. In recent years, they have frequently engaged in improvisation and experiment as a duo. Yu utilizes objects, high-speed rotating tools and the possibilities of images, while Xiang uses body, voice and violin. Together, they explore the sonic field where objects and the body converge.
