My bridal and lesson clients often ask me for some skincare secrets..... And I always say the same thing; for me, it's all to do with keeping things simple, sticking to your routine and getting the basics right: . Using SPF everyday is really important to protect the skin, but unpopular opinion; I much prefer my skin when I use a factor 30 on my face as opposed to a 50. My skin always seems much happier when a tiny bit of natural UV can still get through to it. . Mixing castor oil into my moisturiser at night has been a real game changer for me, my skin loves this extra boost and I find it makes my skin more hydrated and keeps it looking bright and supple. . Red light therapy is another thing that works subtly, but makes a difference over time. I notice my skin looks less dull, redness is reduced and the skin is able to retain more moisture than usual. . Sleep! This is so important for your skin health; I often think that sleeping is one of my biggest passions in life haha. I always get between 8-10 hours a night. . Drinking water, an obvious one. But again this makes a lot of difference to the appearance and quality of the skin! I have a weird fear of being dehydrated so this comes naturally to me. Another thing that helps is to ensure you are drinking a lot of water when you wake up each morning, before you have anything else to drink like tea/coffee/matcha etc. . Alcohol...I am being a fun sponge I know, but I haven't consumed alcohol for 5 years and my skin (and body and mind) loves me for it!
