Every month we highlight an organization you can support at the register. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our April Round up at the Register for @pasafarming We raised over $190! This Month’s Round Up is @livecarephilly Live CarePhilly 501(c)(3) Publishing is a growing ecosystem of resources enabling and connecting Philadelphians to the communities they seek, and that seek them. Their mission is to co-burden & amplify the efforts of those sacrificing to make Philadelphia a more beautiful and dignified place to be, they are first and foremost a facilitator of word— a printer / publisher. What revenue is generated by printing flyers, posters, booklets, and more, gets reinvested back into our Philly projects and partnerships. Live CarePhilly’s primary suite of free online resources includes a Philly neighborhood map linking to 80+ neighborhood landing pages rich with neighborhood specific information; Philly non-profit database & map giving users the ability to filter according to over a dozen categories; and a Philly artist / author store supporting local creatives. Live CarePhilly’s seminal effort though will always be The M.A.C. Project: a monthly donation funded with $100 from them, and $5 from every $7.60 subscription. The monthly subscribers may nominate any Philly headquartered non-profit, they may also vote for any of the nominated non-profits. Then on the 31st, a donation is made to the non-profit with the most votes. Simple. Since launching just over a year ago, Live CarePhilly raised and donated over $7.000 to more than a dozen Philly non-profits, and that’s just through The M.A.C. Project!

NEW ARTICLE DROP: "Ordinarie Heroes - A Unique Community" READ: LiveCarePhilly.Org/Ordinarie-Heroes/ Jaime and I got to check out @ordinarieheroes new space and holy cow are we excited! This space is magic, a mix of activities and resources proliforting community. And it's all for youths. And its all under the leadership of youths empowered. Ordinarie Heroes is finding ways to cross collaborate with other orgs like @blackgirlswithgreenthumbs with projects like The S.O.W. Hope Farm to share efforts, resources and audiences. This strategy is having manifold impact while also strengthening community culture and inspiring youths to follow imaginatively cooperative efforts. The article doesn't do justice (much less this summary) to Ordinarie Heroe's remarkable model and approach to youth empowerment. We are so grateful Ron Toles founded this wonderful organization and hope you'll take some time to get to know them better.

💻 Help Us Keep Making a Difference! 💻 Our non-profit's laptop has stopped working, and repairing it will cost more than getting a replacement. Without it, we’re unable to continue our vital work serving Philly non-profits & creators. We’re reaching out to our amazing community for help: ✨ Donate to help us purchase a new or used laptop ✨ Or, if you have a working laptop you no longer need, consider donating it to us! All donations are tax-deductible! Every contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference in helping us get back on track. Thank you for supporting us and helping us continue our mission! ❤️ #NonProfit #Donate #CommunityHelp #LaptopDonation #MakeADifference

@sundayloveproject got 200 trifolds printed through us for just 0.25¢ each! Our already unbeatable prices are even lower in bulk, especially for non-profits as we, a non-profit, reinvest all revenue generated back into supporting those who support Philly. Got a zine, flyer, poster or trifold you need done? We now even do large format and alt printing. BAD NEWS: we’re kinda old school. Call, email or DM and we’ll get your work printed within 48-72 hours in most cases. We have online ordering, but it’s not that great. Stay radfull Philly #gobirds #livecarephilly #philly #print #phillynonprofits

M.A.C. Project Subscribers have nominated 4 non-profits so far in April, yayyyy!!! **I am SO SORRY for being so late in posting this month. As some of you know, co-founders Jaime & Zachary are getting married end of month sooo, it's been a whirlwind. Thank you for your patience in this update. Voting starts on the 21st. Here are the summaries of those nominated so far: -ORDINARIE HEROES: @ordinarieheroes is a safe space for youth making accessible dignity, opportunity, community and basic needs. -BLACK GIRLS WITH GREEN THUMBS @blackgirlswithgreenthumbs is a community that gardens in their homes and within their neighborhoods to heal, nourish, and learn through immersive wellness experiences that reshape relationships with food and restores connections to land, nature, and self. -SKYPE-A-SCIENTIST @skypeascientist is a subscriber favorite, this being their 3rd time nominated! They do super awesome work connecting and proliferating arts and science and making it accessible to marginalized communities -BOOKS THROUGH BARS @btb_philly does terrific work raising awareness, coordinating volunteers and getting books into the hands of the incarcerated. The value of literature much less scholarly work is inestimable to those eager for edification while behind bars. The M.oney A.cross C.ommunities Project funds Philly non-profits every month elected by the subscribers who fund the donation $5 at a time. SO EVERY SUBSCRIBER MATTERS! We start each month with $100 BUT THEN ADD $5 for every subscriber - With 0- we donate $100 - With 10 - we donate $150 - With 100 - we donate $600 - With 1000 - we donate $5,100 SUBSCRIPTION: $7.60 a month, tax deductible. $5 goes into the monthly fund, the rest fuels our ability to provide free resources at LiveCarePhilly.Org (see our instagram wall for all sorts of examples : ) Subscribe to elect any Philly headquartered non-profit to receive this (and every) month's fund at: /MAC THAT'S RAD, RIGHT?? --> LiveCarePhilly.Org/MAC All 4 of the above non-profits go above and beyond in sacrificing to make Philly a more beautiful and/or dignified place to be. #themacproject #gobirds #livecarephilly

Alaina Joy's first solo exhibit is going on through May at Faceclock Gallery, and Your Mom just wrote an article as to why you should check it out: /venom-velvet/ @painted_thingies does nothing solo so of course, her first exhibition is a collaborative effort studded with the stars of her heart - her artfull and compassion driven siblings. @faceclockgallery is run by a wonderful young spirit (Anastasia) endeavoring to make rad space accessible for community champions like Alaina. Her drinks are siiiick and hospitality top notch. Anastasia provides a beautiful open space not only for Alaina's work, but for her entire community. Ive been to a lot of solo exhibits and premieres. While Alaina’s didn't reinvent the wheel, it transcends the format of an artist showcasing themselves. Quite in fact, this is Alaina's chance and she embraced it by celebrating everyone she admires and loves. Apparently the short list is: @pleasestopyelling @yu_backroad_baboon_8 @discarded.radioshack.project @must.get.sconed @snapkrackart @ramborame_215 @artbattlephiladelphia @furaaai @recovery_done_simple @allak_art @lolamateosmomhasaname @queenvandals @overthetopsociety @kmaureenphoto Yup. When I asked her to let me know who all helped make her premiere exhibition so special, that was the list I quickly got back. If you've got 5 minutes, check out Your Mom's new article on LiveCarePhilly.Org/venom-velvet/ … but far more importantly, check our Alaina, her work and most of all, her community. Much Love and super mad props to you Alaina, we are so excited to be grafting vines!
