My baby @lit_edits_bydales is 1!! OMG! Thank you Lord for EVERYTHING! I don’t take the love, support and growth for granted. Here are somethings I’ve learned so far: 1. Clients don’t just pay for videos , they pay for reliability. Showing up on time, delivering fast, and communicating properly matters just as much as creativity. 2. Every brand / individual wants results, not just “aesthetic content.” A beautiful video means nothing if it doesn’t help the brand sell, attract attention, or build trust. 3. Understanding a client’s vision is a skill on its own. Half of the job is knowing how to turn someone’s ideas into content that actually works. 4. Content creators are expected to wear multiple hats. Some days you’re the videographer, editor, creative director, social media strategist, and therapist all at once. 5. Lighting and angles can completely change how a brand is perceived. The way you shoot a product, event, or person affects how premium they look online. 6. Clients remember professionalism more than one viral video. Clear communication, boundaries, invoicing, and respect will keep clients coming back. 7. Creating content for people taught me how different every brand personality is. What works for a skincare brand won’t work for a luxury event planner or lifestyle creator. 8. Last-minute changes are part of the job. Being adaptable under pressure is one of the biggest skills I’ve learned professionally. 9. Behind every “easy” content shoot is a lot of unseen work. Planning shots, directing people, editing revisions, organizing files, and fixing problems quietly behind the scenes. 10. Your creativity is valuable, and not every opportunity deserves access to it. Exposure doesn’t always pay the bills, and learning to price your work confidently changed everything.
