When I spoke with @zubairmohajir and @rishimanojkumar about their new Loop restaurant @marielachicago they couldn’t help but bring up names of team members — from the food and drink (looking at you, @davidmmor !) to the interior design. That sentiment is such a big part of @mirrachicago and now their new spot. Lovely all around. Kudos to the whole team and thanks @eater_chicago for the assignment. Oh and that 24-seat bar is gonna be 🔥 at happy hour
Uplifting others and embracing community comes in many forms. For the last 10 years @kimskichicago has been doing a ton of both. Kudos to @edmarlumpen and @revisecmw and Mike Marszewski! I’m probably biased but Chicago food folk are especially good at helping and uplifting their industry peers. The gals at @meze.table and their new shop is another example of that as it not only features their delicious Greek-leaning food but that of farmers market folks they’ve become friends with over the years. Lucky you Bridgeport with this new shop! Thanks @blockclubchi

When I walked into @allwellchi for a pre-opening preview seeing pieces by @tonyfitzpatrick9 reaffirmed what I already knew. This West Loop restaurant from @noahsandoval and @scarylarry23 has its heart and soul firmly rooted in all the things that matter: bringing people together over delicious food and drink and the stories that make us good humans.
