Today I am 7 years out of cancer treatment!!!
Slowly but surely, one step at a time, I’m becoming a version of myself that 29 year old Lisa with cancer would be so proud of.
Tears flow right now as I reflect on the faithfulness of God to see me through. Diagnosed with blood cancer at 29,
finishing chemotherapy and radiation at 30,
and a lot of other bumps on that road…
To now pursuing a life that equally scares me and ignites my heart on fire. Making life worth my “all in”. There are parts of me that are still healing, parts that might always be healing… but…
Dear 29 year old Lisa, it’s going to be worth it.

It was an incredible honor to speak last night at the @americancancersociety Cattle Barons Ball! Such a lovely evening with great food, dancing (Lonestar!) , and of course, raising money for the cause.
I'm grateful for every person in the room! And it warmed my heart tremendously when people took a moment to shake my hand, chat with me, or tell me their story. That truly meant a lot.
As far as my speech-
It was *incredibly* difficult to fit in everything I wanted to say. Tweak after tweak after tweak, and lots of emotional tears as I walked memory lane, I landed on something that felt right-even though there was so much I had to cut. I was reminded of many moments throughout my life where I can clearly see God's faithfulness. What a blessing it was to share a glimpse of that.
