Whitehall Park was a jumble of ill fitting cellular rooms that we completely gutted to create some light filled open plan spaces. Our recently completed project at Cheverton Road looked at how to deal with a dramatic change of level between the garden and kitchen. The plot was north facing, so the traditional large glazed units to patio approach wasnât going to work. Instead we inverted the layout, creating a modern bay window with dining space within, bringing the greenery right to the table. The terrace sits at the back of the garden where the sun lands. The windows can open out completely, allowing people within and without to communicate freely. Some great clients, contractors and subcontractors made this one happen. And the neighbours liked the design so much they asked for one too! More pictures very soonâŚ

The first floor bathroom of Whitehall Park. I think this was maybe version 22?! A labour of love, but a great result. Special thanks for Joe Davies of @porticodesignandbuild for coming up with the plan idea, and of course to our clients for settling on some great finishes. Microcement and brushed copper were a winning combo. Whitehall Park was a jumble of ill fitting cellular rooms that were completely gutted and after some major structural modifications, created some light filled open plan spaces. There is a stark contrast of contemporary to Victorian styles in this house but we love the contrast.
