Our impact goes beyond a moment, it lives in the work we continue to do. At Lindelwa Foundation, we are committed to creating meaningful change through: - Education & Skills Development - Community Development - Cultural Enrichment From empowering individuals through learning opportunities, to strengthening communities and celebrating African heritage, every initiative is rooted in purpose, care and legacy. In 2024, we officially launched the Lindelwa Foundation - a tribute to the life and legacy of Lindelwa Ngxokolo. Rooted in love, compassion, and the spirit of giving, her legacy continues to inspire our mission of uplifting communities through education, culture, and meaningful impact. This Mother’s Day, we honour her memory and the values she lived by: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” As a foundation, we remain committed to growing with greater purpose, expanding our reach, and continuing the work she would have been proud of.

To every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart to the MXS Kulture Festival 2026… thank you. Truly. From well recognized fashion schools, and stepping into a space where Fashion met a real MXS Kulture Fest experience and you showed up with purpose. All of you worked from the early hours.
Some worked quietly behind the scenes.
Some carried the energy of the festival and kept things moving. All of you mattered. You didn’t just help make the day run smoothly, you made it feel like something more. Something rooted in community. At the Lindelwa Foundation, we’re constantly reminded that the heart of what we do is people, and this was a beautiful reflection of that. We’re grateful. We’re proud. Thank you, Volunteers, for showing up the way you did. #LindelwaFoundation #MXSKultureFest

Through our foundation work, @lihle_ngxokolo_nqini continues to contribute to platforms that empower both youth and women. At @empowayouth , she delivered a powerful session on understanding and monetising your value, emphasising that recognition begins when you first recognise your own worth. At @empowawomen , she joined the Fashion & Beauty stage as a panelist, sharing practical insights on accessing markets and positioning brands for retail success. These engagements are part of our ongoing mission to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. #EmpowaYouth #EmpowaWomen #LindelwaFoundation

This week we had the privilege of visiting the incredible @mangercarecentremcc , a place changing lives daily through shelter, meals, food security, skills training and empowerment programmes. As the Lindelwa Foundation, we prepared care packages filled with cosmetics and tea, along with clothing, to bring a little comfort and dignity to the individuals they support. We are especially inspired by the Centre’s commitment to self-sustainability, from growing their own vegetables and producing seedlings, to baking fresh bread and running skills programmes that equip people to create their own opportunities. Education and skills development remain one of our key pillars, and supporting organisations that uplift communities through learning and practical empowerment is deeply aligned with our mission. Thank you to the MCC team for the meaningful work you do for abused women, recovering addicts, the elderly, people living with disabilities and thousands of children in the community. 💛 #LindelwaFoundation #Education #CommunityCare #GiveBack #HopeInAction

In October, @laduma was invited to speak at TEDxNelsonMandelaUniversity, where the theme for the event was “Redefining Creative Arts.” He presented on: “From Xhosa Beadwork to the Global Fashion Runway & Retail.” As an alumnus of the university, @laduma expressed how meaningful it was to receive the invitation and to return to contribute to such an important platform. His message served as motivation for the next generation of designers and cultural innovators, reminding them that authenticity is a global currency. The event was filled with powerful speakers and performers, making it a truly successful and impactful gathering of creative voices. A heartfelt thank you to @mandelauniversity and the @nmmuinnovationoffice for hosting this memorable event.

On 18 August 2024, what would have been Lindelwa Ngxokolo’s 65th birthday, we launched the Lindelwa Foundation at @ubuntupathways in Gqeberha. Named after the late mother of @maxhosa founder, the Foundation formalises years of community work and strengthens our commitment to education and community development. We are grateful to the family and friends who joined us, and invite all who wish to contribute, through time, resources, or mentorship, to help continue Lindelwa’s legacy of compassion and empowerment. #LindelwaFoundation #Launch #UbuntuPathways

Back in 2020, @tasticricesa joined creative forces with @laduma , Founder and Chief Creative Director of @maxhosa , to celebrate the spirit of Ubuntu and true generosity through a limited-edition pack design. 🌾✨ The collaboration beautifully merged food, fashion, and culture, with @maxhosa ’s signature patterns reimagining @tasticricesa iconic packaging in honour of Heritage month. It served as a reminder of how creativity and community can unite people across cultures. Proceeds from the collaboration went towards education initiatives, reinforcing how generosity and giving back lie at the heart of South African heritage. 🇿🇦 #TasticxLaduma #Ubuntu #Heritage #MaXhosaAfrica

In the spirit of collaboration and giving back, @maxhosa joined creative forces with celebrated artist @nelsonmakamo to co-create and hand-paint two exclusive @fieldbar.co Gin Trunks, specially made for an auction at the @ubuntupathways Gala Dinner in 2024. These one-of-a-kind pieces celebrate art, craftsmanship and purpose with proceeds supporting @ubuntupathways mission to uplift communities through education, health and opportunity. We are honoured to have played a part in supporting the community of Gqeberha, where Ubuntu Pathways continues to transform lives. The trunks were auctioned for R300,000, directly contributing to this impactful cause.

Reflecting on 2018, when our design time was dedicated to supporting 120 @ubuntupathways learners. A proud moment of merging fashion with purpose. ✨

In 2017, Laduma Ngxokolo, in partnership with @chivasregalsa , launched an initiative to empower emerging South African design entrepreneurs with limited resources. Through monthly workshops across five major cities, fifty hand-picked designers were given access to business knowledge that helped them grow faster, create jobs, and confront South Africa’s high unemployment rate. Drawing from his own journey of building @maxhosa into a global brand despite limited means, @laduma shared his experience to inspire and equip the next generation of entrepreneurs.
