Earlier this week, we celebrated the grand opening of Azure, our final Homekey community in Anaheim! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful milestone, including our partners @afhusa and the @city_of_anaheim .

Today, we celebrated the grand opening of Azure, the final community in our Homekey kaleidoscope. Located in Anaheim, Azure will provide 87 units of supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. Linc leadership, board members, residents, and community partners came together to mark this important milestone alongside our partners, @afhusa and the @city_of_anaheim .

Mosaic Gardens at Westlake residents honored Earth day by making their own non-toxic cleaning solution! Residents learned the benefit of using essential oils mixed with vinegar and water to keep their homes clean and smelling fresh.

Spark at Midtown partnered with the @socalhousing RUN LA team to host a community workshop focused on upcoming voting issues impacting low-income housing. Residents had the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and stay informed on issues affecting their communities.

Atlas hosted its first-ever Community Block Cleanup Day! Residents and staff came together to help care for and beautify the surrounding neighborhood, earning many kind compliments from community members who witnessed their efforts. The day left residents with a renewed sense of pride and ownership in both their homes and the wider community they’re part of.

Our Fairview Heights community came together for a Spring Celebration featuring a talent show! Residents had the opportunity to share their skills and connect through shared interests and creativity.
A special thank you to @tacoselunico for generously donating burritos for the event, helping make the celebration even more memorable. Guests also enjoyed a token of appreciation station, where they could select mini flower bouquets and write positive notes for performers as a way to celebrate and uplift one another.

The New High Village team hosted a informational community event on Wednesday, April 15th to present proposed sustainable transportation improvements (STIs) to be included in the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) funding application. Our team gathered feedback on how these improvements to different modes of transportation will contribute to the area surrounding the project. We thank our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) members, @econoppla (DEO), our partner Los Angeles County, and the community members who engaged with us at this event.

At Linc Housing, residents are stepping into leadership and shaping their communities through the LEAD Program! One standout leader, Alireza, saw a gap in digital literacy and stepped up to fill it. Drawing on his background in technology, he launched computer classes for his neighbors in which he teaches everything from basic typing and internet safety to navigating online resources. Through his leadership, more residents are gaining the confidence to access the digital world and its opportunities.

Linc has developed a six-part series dedicated to bringing clarity to the topic of conversation, providing clear and accessible information about what affordable housing means for the people who live in it and the communities surrounding it. Each installment will tackle a common myth, share the evidence, and highlight how affordable housing is integral to building stronger, more inclusive neighborhoods.
