I’ve always kept this page light — focused on photography, on connection, on people. I’ve stayed quiet on current events here because I’ve worried about alienating clients or risking opportunities. But I won’t compromise my humanity, morals, and beliefs for a paycheck.
Because what happened to Alex Pretti… watching him be killed, seeing his body collapse, his boots lying there lifeless… broke something open inside me that I can’t close back up. Learning who he was, the care he gave to veterans and his community, made the grief heavier, more personal, more devastating. And he is just one of many that has lost their life at the hands of ICE.
I’m exhausted. Not the kind of tired that sleep fixes… the kind that settles into your chest when violence becomes routine and cruelty gets justified by policy and power.
The ICE raids.
The deaths.
The fear being sewn into communities.
The way authoritarianism keeps inching closer to normal.
It’s too much to carry quietly anymore.
This doesn’t feel like politics. It feels like mourning. It feels like watching people be treated as expendable. It feels like being asked to accept a version of this country that I don’t recognize and refuse to.
We cannot sleepwalk through this. We cannot let exhaustion turn into silence. If we are going to save anything worth saving, we have to wake up and come together… loudly, imperfectly, humanly.
I’m tired.
But I’m still here.
And I’m not done fighting.
This is the part where we do something.
Call your representatives. Call your senators. Let them know silence isn’t an option anymore.
Silence is what power counts on.
I won’t give it that.
Watching Johnny officially get plaqued into his club last Saturday was a pretty special thing to witness. Not just because of the car, but because I’ve had a front row seat to the amount of time, patience, sacrifice, late nights, problem solving, and heart that’s gone into bringing this Cadillac back to life.
Anybody can admire a finished car, but not everybody sees what happens behind the scenes. The stress, the setbacks, the “it should’ve been done three hours ago” moments 🤣 and somehow still finding the motivation to keep going because you genuinely love it.
And honestly, that kind of dedication isn’t just something he puts into cars. It’s who he is in every part of life. When he cares about something, he gives it everything he’s got. No shortcuts, no half effort. Just passion, loyalty, and commitment all the way through.
Now listen… my relationship with this car is complicated 😂
When she’s running? I’m obsessed. Love her. She’s gorgeous. A queen. A triumph of American automotive history. A legend with a Los Angeles twist. When I hear, “babe, I just need one more part…” suddenly we are enemies. Mortal enemies. But truthfully, seeing Johnny finally get his plaque and watching people admire everything he’s poured into this car made every stressful, greasy little moment worth it.
Even though we’re starting a new chapter in New York, I already know the trips home are going to hit differently. Warm California nights, good people, High Lonesome, and you behind the wheel… some things will always feel like home to me.
Here’s to more cruise nights, more memories, and wherever the road takes us next, my love. 🤍
Really proud of you, Johnny. You earned this one. 🤍

I took 2 rolls of film to Pink Motel this year, 1 Super 8 and 1 of this kick ass film from @psychedelic_blues_film . Definitely not disappointed with how these turned out! A huge congratulations to @bvtcher_john and @deaconthedevil for getting their @genocidecc plaques! This year was one for the books and although Johnny and I are moving to NY, we’re already looking forward to next year’s party - wouldn’t miss it for anything.

In his eyes, I meet myself
unfiltered, unchanged.
He carries what I cannot hide, and shows me what I cannot see, reflecting the parts of me that can never be reached.
In the rhythm of his stride, I hear the truth of who I am.
He does not judge, only mirrors
every doubt, every calm, every breath.
With him, I am seen clearly
no masks, no noise, just truth.
Between us a quiet bond that speaks louder than words.

Here’s something real nice for your feed while you’re sitting in Stagecoach traffic. 🎡🤠✨
There’s a quiet understanding between LonDen and Count.
Nothing forced, nothing performed. Just time, trust, and knowing.
She doesn’t ask for it, she shows up with it.
In the way she moves, in the way Count meets her without hesitation.
It’s a kind of confidence that feels steady and real.
The kind you don’t have to question.
With them, it’s simple. They just get each other.

As moms, we’re often the ones capturing the memories of special people and places in our lives. I have tons of photos of my baby and my husband, but rarely am I also in them (unless it’s a selfie). So it’s extra meaningful to have your amazingly talented friends take pics of you and your family. All that’s missing is our pitty baby.

“… We did not have an easy start with each other… we constantly butted heads and it took time for me to earn his respect. Now a year later, I love him so much and we’ve gotten a lot of progress done with each other and our relationship.”
.
The bond between these two is beautiful, patient, a silent love between horse and rider. Every time I’ve been in front of a horse and rider I’ve been privy to this bond, something steady and unspoken that builds over time. It shows the quiet moments, the trust, the way they move together without always needing to ask. It’s not something you can force or fake, it’s something earned simply by showing up for each other, again and again.
