First sanctioned after many years of competing ā˜‘ļø While my squats let me down on the day, it was still the most fun I’ve ever had at a comp and the best I’ve felt leading into it and post comp. It was nice to dip my feet back on to the platform after having a couple years off and I’m hungry to get back on it at an even lower weight class next year. S: 200kg (-10kg comp PB) B: 140kg (+10kg) D: 190kg (equal comp PB) U82.5kg (-6.5kg BW from last comp) Big thanks to @underdogssc for coaching me and my boy @quintonyeung handling. It was a good starting point for data collection as this was the first time all three of us worked together at comp. Also big kudos to @breakthroughpowerlifting for hosting the sickest comps as always. So well run, fantastic team and the best spotters. Anyway on to off season build to prep for the next battle. Time to keep feeding the anger and fanning the flames. šŸŽ„ @thirds.co #powerlifting #gym #training #fitness #coach

Some highlights of some feedback I’ve received lately from my team. Each year I sent out a yearly feedback form to assess their goals, training and how I can improve my services - safe to say I think I’m a pretty solid coach for my team. Either that or they’re trying to butter me up so I don’t demolish them in my sessions šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø Anyway if you’re looking for a coach to help you improve your numbers or just learn how to lift then hit me up. I’ve helped many athletes and clients over the years and the results speak for themselves. Hit the link in my bio to start šŸ”—

Anxiety and fear is the crux that stops you from showcasing your true strength on the platform. Because when the headnoise overtakes your focus and clarity, you will falter when you feel the weight of the bar on you. Crushing you down and fueling your fear. So what do you do? You get angry and you get aggressive. You let your fears know their place. You think about why you started this journey and why it means so much for you to finish it regardless of the outcome and obstacles you’ve had to jump through. So feed your anger, fan the flames that made you want to show up for yourself. Show your fear who’s in control. #powerlifting #gym #training #competitor

This one’s for the people who think they’re training… but are really just passing time in the gym. There’s a difference. Working out is chasing a sweat, a pump, a feeling. Training is chasing progress. One is random. One is calculated. You can tell instantly who’s who One’s drifting through sets, checking their phone, copying what looks cool… The other is locked in, executing every rep like it actually matters. Same gym. Same equipment. Completely different outcome. If you want results, you can’t leave it up to chance. Stop working out. Start training.
