Greek Easter 2025 🐣
Some traditions are worth repeating. My mom dressed my sister and me in matching outfits and now I get to do the same for my girls. These blue and white stripe dresses are from @miniboden and I couldn’t love them more ❤️
A note for families planning photos: If you’re pulling together outfits, don’t overthink it but do think intentionally. When one person (or two!) is wearing a bold pattern like these stripes, keep everyone else in solid, complementary colors. It lets the pattern be the star without competing for attention.
DM or email me — I’d love to help style your family for your next shoot. I genuinely love that stuff! 💙
@lightbyiris in home couples home shoot ❣️ hutch & I purchased this home less than a year ago and as it slowly comes together we wanted to capture where we are at the moment. thank you Iris for capturing the most beautiful photos for us to look back on
What if every location… every light… every “imperfect” moment could become part of your story?
In Layers of Love, Iris teaches you how to turn everyday family sessions into cinematic storytelling - no matter the environment.
Because real life isn’t always ideal.
The light can be harsh.
The space can feel small.
The outfits might not match.
But what if none of that mattered?
In this class, you’ll learn how to work with what’s in front of you - using light, environment, connection, and composition to create images that feel layered, emotional, and deeply meaningful.
You’ll explore how to:
• confidently shoot in any location (in-home or outdoors)
• use all types of light to enhance your story
• gently guide families for natural, connected moments
• create depth and intention in every frame
• edit with a cinematic, storytelling finish
This is about more than technique... it’s about learning to see differently, so you can create art anywhere.
✨ Registration opens March 25 (6PM EDT)
📷 Class begins June 15
If you’ve ever felt limited by your environment… this class will change the way you shoot.

Once I held her hand.
Another year of mother-and-daughter moments beautifully captured by the talented @lightbyiris , a glimpse of Tokyo through her lens.
We rarely take photos together in our everyday life, so with Mother’s Day coming up this weekend, these photos feel even more special and meaningful.
Looking back now, I realise how much she has grown.
Over these three years, the height difference between us has almost disappeared.
Sometimes I wish I could pause time, just for a little while.
These days feel endless, until suddenly they are gone.
Soon she’ll finish primary school and begin secondary school this April.
Once I was her age, and everything around me felt so big and uncertain.
I still remember the excitement of a new chapter, mixed with the quiet fear that comes with change.
And now I find myself on the other side of the story — raising a daughter of my own, already with one foot stepping into her teenage years.
The emotional rollercoaster of these years is very real.
Motherhood is full of bittersweet moments.
No matter how much she grows, I will always be her mother.
Yet little by little, she is stepping out of my hands and into the wider world.
Time moves quietly — yet ever so quickly, until one day you realise everything has changed.
And through it all, I remain quietly grateful for the gift of being her mother.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas out there💐

_____A special moment on a rainy day
My boys did such an amazing job, even while braving the cold.
Having this photoshoot together warmed my heart and made it such a special, unforgettable day. Thank you for being part of it with me.
I’m so grateful and happy to be your mommy🤍

_____ Beautiful rainy day.
Our first outdoor photoshoot with the my baby’s.
It had been such beautiful spring weather until the day before… but the day of the shoot was rainy, super windy, and felt more like winter.
Still, she turned the rain into something magical and captured the most beautiful moments.
@lightbyiris
So grateful for these photos and for her. ☔️🌨️
