What difference does long‑term, relational support really make? 🌱 In the third film in our video series, a Deputy Head from one of our partner secondary schools reflects on why they’ve continued to work with Lifespace over a number of years. She shares how Lifespace has been instrumental in supporting students all the way from Year 7 to sixth form — and why that continuity matters. Not just at moments of crisis, but across a young person’s whole school journey. “It makes a tangible difference. It’s a phenomenal service that supports the whole child.” A powerful reminder of what’s possible when schools and trusted partners work together over time 💬 To find out more, pop us a DM or say [email protected] #WholeChild #RelationalSupport #SecondaryEducation #LongTermImpact #LifespaceTrust #Systemic #Mentoring

We’re really honoured to have been invited to speak at the House of Lords next month. On 12 June, our CEO Lisa Carroll will be joining Dr Tristan Middleton to share learning from our @LifespaceTrust supervision pilot. This work matters. We spend a lot of time alongside safeguarding and pastoral staff in schools – and we see the weight they carry. Supervision came from that… creating space to think, reflect, and not have to hold it all on your own. One practitioner said: “something had happened with one of my high profile pupils… I just cried for the entire hour… I would have been stressed about that for two weeks … Then I went back to a member of staff and thought, right, how do I do this rationally? And then we got it sorted.” That’s what this is about. We’ll be alongside a brilliant mix of voices across the sector – Inclusion Education, Mulberry Bush, Talking Heads Supervision, Place2Be and others – all thinking about how we better support the people supporting young people. If you’d like to join the conversation. 🌐 eventbrite.co.uk/e/irct-best-practice-forum-shaping-the-future-of-supervision-in-education-tickets Grateful to be part of this 💛 #SupervisionInEducation #StaffWellbeing #Safeguarding #TraumaInformed #Lifespace EducationMatters

Last week a group of @lifespacetrust colleagues went to see Poor by @katriona_osullivan at the @belgradetheatre in Coventry. The story, which began in 1980s Coventry, showed how small moments, and contact with just a handful of people, helped to steer Katriona onto a very different path. The performance was honest and brave – at times unsettling – but also warm, hopeful and deeply human. It stayed with us. As mentors, we spend a lot of time paying attention to those small moments – the conversations, the consistency, the feeling of being noticed – often without knowing the impact until much later. This production really spoke to that. Pictured here are mentors Kirsty and Lesley, alongside our CEO Lisa. Others were with us too – we just didn’t manage to catch everyone in the photo. A reminder of why lived experience matters – and why small, relational moments can change the course of a life. #Poor #KatrionaOSullivan #LivedExperience

Revising isn’t just about revision 💤🚶‍♀️🥗 A helpful reminder from the team @lifespacetrust Doing well in exams isn’t about working non-stop, it's also about looking after yourself. 🛌 Sleep: aim for 7–9 hours 📵 Screens off before bed if you can 🚶‍♂️ Move your body: even a short walk helps 🍫🥑 Feed your brain & drink water ⏱ Try short revision bursts And remember: ✨ There are always options. ✨ Failing is not the end. ✨ You matter, whatever the result. #ExamWellbeing #YouveGotThis #lifespacetrust #warwickshire #mentoringmatters

Mental health matters because it affects how we feel, think, learn, connect, and cope with everyday life. Talking openly and acting early can help prevent problems from feeling overwhelming and remind us that no one has to face things alone. What is Mental Health Awareness Week? 💙 Mental Health Awareness Week happens every May and brings people across the UK together to talk about mental health, challenge stigma, and encourage positive change. This year’s focus is on Action, because awareness is important but change happens when we take steps to support ourselves and each other. At @lifespacetrust mentoring is one of those actions. We support young people by building trusting relationships, strengthening confidence and resilience, and creating space to feel heard and supported. Every conversation counts and so do you 💙 If you need extra support, talk to your Lifespace mentor, school, or drop us a DM. 🔗 Find out more about Mental Health Awareness Week at mentalhealth.org.uk #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #TakeAction #Warwickshire #LifespaceTrust #MentoringSupport

You are more than a test paper. More than a grade. More than this week. Take a breath, do your best, and be kind to yourselves along the way. Sending huge good-luck wishes to students, parents, carers and school staff - you’ve got this. 💛📚✏️

We had a great day at Stratford Pursuits Festival 🌿🎶 It was brilliant to be out in the sunshine, meeting families, chatting about what we do, and sharing the day with some brilliant local organisations. Huge thanks to our friends at @stratfordyouthcollective , @escape_arts @cavaorg and @topoftherocktuition for making it such a welcoming, lively event. It was great to support young people from KIK, a youth band who have been working with Escape Arts and Top of The Rocks over the past few months. They played an amazing set and should be very proud of themselves. We were also pleased to catch up with MP @m.perteghella who took time to add her picture to Stratford Youth Collective’s giant character canvas – a lovely moment and a great piece of shared creativity. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and to the organisers for a fantastic festival 👏 #PursuitsFestival #StratfordUponAvon #YouthMusic #CreativeYouth #LifespaceTrust WorkingTogether
