The people have spoken! Along with the quilter tattoos and rainbow hearts, I added a whole bunch of crazy new dark metal inspired stuff to libselliott dot com
Go check it outttt 🖤🖤🖤⚡️⚡️⚡️💀💀💀
Hi! It’s me, Elizabeth (Libs) Elliott.
If you’re new, here’s the lowdown- I make modern quilts and ~sometimes~ use generative code to create my designs. I’ve been a fabric designer for 10+ years and I love to see how people use my collections! I’ve shown my work and taught in many places - Canada, U.S., France, Norway, Australia…always adding to the list because travel is a gift. My newest venture is hosting Craft & Quilting tours to beautiful places like Japan and Morocco.

I run an inclusive online quilting community called the Sew Squad. It’s a space where we can connect, sew, recharge and do creative things together. It’s rad. You should check us out!

When I was young, I hit my head on the punk rock. (But I’ll sing along to anything.) That punk DIY approach has always been at the forefront of my life - from making ’zines and promoting shows in the 1900’s to building my quilt biz from scratch - Making my own fun, with my own hands, is a core piece of who I am.
Welcome to my textile world and thanks for being here. 🖤
My quilt series - Generative Threads - integrates algorithmic code with quilting to examine identity’s cyclical evolution. Through shifting colour and geometric pattern, the work reflects states of visibility, erasure and personal expansion.
Swipe through to see all 13 quilts in the series.
On view now @carrefour_patchwork until 21-Sept-25.
Throwback to TS1 - the first quilt I ever made based on Processing code, using an algorithm that randomizes quilt blocks and renders limitless iterations. For over 13 years, I’ve loved exploring the connection and contrast between making digital and physical art - from the procedural systems required for both mediums to the human element of imperfection, especially in textiles.
Hello? Where the heck is Spring?! It’s mid-May and still chilly here in Toronto. Luckily, I’m a sweater-loving gal. I basically live in my heavy metal Quilter hoodie.
You can get one too! Find this (and t-shirts too, for you lucky folks in hot places) in the Libs Shop. ⚡️🖤
✨NEW LOOK!✨Individuality, creative rebellion, inclusivity and community connection - that’s Libs Elliott.⚡️
I want to give a huge shout out to Ashley @monarchdesignco for bringing my Libs Elliott brand vision to life and Heidi @workwithendswell for building a way cooler website than I could have imagined. It has been a dream to work with these two very talented Canadian woman entrepreneurs.
I hope you’ll check out the new site and consider joining my newsletter. 🖤
Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing Mom who has taught me so much. We have been through a LOT together. ♥️ And to my two beautiful boys, Declan and Nicholas, who make me so proud to be their mom every single day. 💖
Gift double duty for @libselliott ! With her site and identity rebrand, she has a new lightning bolt plus Mother’s Day gift(s). I made a sign using black acrylic, plywood and COB RGB LEDs. Controlled via webpage from an ESP32 S3. #makersgonnamake #giterdone #esp32 #happymothersday❤️
Thanks for all the love on the BONE BRIGADE quilt pattern which is now available in my shop. 🖤
The quilt made its debut at h+h Americas, which was such a great experience. It filled my heart to visit with my Andover fam, so many designer friends, and business collaborators who I haven’t seen in years. It always feels like we don’t get enough time with each other! I’m leaving with some exciting opportunities and lots of design inspiration. And, if you’re a shop who ordered any of my @andoverfabrics collections - Thank you!🙏 I appreciate you all so much! ♥️⚡️
BONE BRIGADE is here! ‼️💀⛓️💥
This quilt pattern is a fun play on a traditional Irish chain quilt and can be made with regular machine piecing in three sizes. You can find it on my BRAND NEW WEBSITE which also launched today! 👏🎉 Separate post coming about that, but I hope you’ll check it out. 🖤⚡️
