This boy was the Whopper of the Week winner at Garristown Library Scrabble Club this week because he scored a whopping 44 points in a single go. The highest individual score. Here he is with a couple of his team mates from the Sausage Sambos team.

It’s Dublin Climate Action Week, and here in Baldoyle Library we’ve been using it as an opportunity for borrowers of all ages to reflect on the coastline right on our doorstep. We were delighted to welcome BirdWatch Ireland for a discussion on Dublin’s seabirds and marine protected areas. The talk explored selected species, their colonies, and the conservation efforts currently underway to help protect them. With our younger borrowers, we created sea-themed collages and spoke about the joy of living near the sea, as well as the importance of caring for our local environment so future generations can enjoy it too. #ClimateActionWeek #BaldoyleLibrary #FingalLibraries
