Last year, I shot a short film with my fiancé @rhysandrews1 and some amazing and talented friends and collaborators. “Still Waters” is a psychological drama that explores themes of grief, memory, and emotional healing. We follow our protagonist Aiden and his struggle to cope with the loss of his partner, whose memory haunts him. It’s now going out to festivals, but I wanted to share some stills I’m proud of from the film here. 10/05/25 It’s been a few days now, but… we got married on Saturday! 💍 It was the most perfect day—made even more special by all our family and friends who came to celebrate with us. I can’t stop smiling now that I’ve married my best friend. I love you, Bab. 🥰 Evening post to follow? 👀 Our photos were taken by the incredibly talented @alihortonphoto – thank you for capturing our day so beautifully and for making us feel so at ease. Our celebrant, @tara_the_celebrant , made the ceremony so personal and meaningful. You took such great care of us—we can’t thank you enough. The wedding was held at @tortworth_court_weddings , where the team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. Alex and Becky, you were the absolute best—thank you for making it all happen. The beautiful flower arrangements (even our stunning pocket squares!) were created by Amy @thesodburyflorist . Her hard work and artistic eye truly elevated the day. Thank you for bringing so much beauty to it all! The bridesmaids and mothers of the grooms had their makeup done by @abijmua and their hair styled by @individualglamour You got the day off to a fantastic start and made everyone feel so comfortable. The brief was to keep it natural—avoiding an overly lit, glossy feel—and to let the grade do the heavy lifting. Our approach focused on manipulating available light using flags and bounce, only bringing in lights when absolutely necessary. Dave had a clear vision for the camera work: keep faces and people on longer lenses, often making frames busy and letting talent feel smaller and distant. The payoff? When we finally reach the emotional breakthrough between father and son, we go close and wide, delivering the full weight of this moment. It was an intense, whirlwind day, but an incredibly rewarding one I got to share with the talented and supportive team at Affixxius.
