a very late post for a very special film: in November I had the insane (slightly unhinged) pleasure of 1st ADing, 1st ACing, and producing the short film Borderline for @laurasevillaart in her directorial debut🌟
truly an honor to bring this project to life alongside such cherished friends and artists. an unforgettable opportunity for growth and for learning just how much I’m capable of — and to do it in chicago with such a talented team felt like a full circle moment. here’s to another year of more learning, more growing, and more filmmaking 🦾

the aforementioned new era…..
feeling so insanely lucky to have directed my first short film last weekend. what a crazy, unique, beautiful experience that I got to share with the best crew a girl could ask for. directing this film truly feels like the beginning of an extraordinary journey, and I’ve never felt more excited and ready for the future.
it feels indescribably special to say that, as a Chinese-American person who’s never really felt right in my skin, my first film ~feels~ like me. it’s inherently Chinese and American, reflected in how it came to be, in the cast, in the production design, and even in the visual style. how fcking cool is that!! here’s to many more :)
