there’s so many bigger things at hand !!! lead with love in everything you do !!!! build and nurture community !!!! learn and grow with your seasons !! trust in the cosmos (but don’t be passive to it)

@thejunglegiants upcoming album, Experiencing Feelings of Joy, took Sam Hales five years to make. Double his usual pace.
The music, which had always come freely across 15 years and two bands and eight albums, stopped.
“So much growth went into this record.” he tells me.
For those of us who’ve been along for the ride since we were 13 years old, still here at 26 and still looking for and cultivating joy wherever we can find it, this record feels like a particular gift.

letting yourself feel through the spectrum of human emotion and moving through divine lessons with grace is heavy work sometimes but bby growth and change are non negotiable (and inevitable) so sit with it and refocus on the moments of beauty within it all !!! tell the people you love, that you love them !! lean in !!
‘Oh! That’s a pile of shit’: Matt Corby has never been more honest, or more exciting
My interview with @mattcorby for @beatmagazine is live at beat.com.au 🔗
a summer friday evenin’ with pleasant weekend plans ahead is the sweetest i am so thankful for friends ! and community and growth and joy and understanding and stone fruit and sun-dried tomatoes and the warmth of the sun and living so close to people i love and grilled zucchini and embracing bodies <3
( the privilege of this doesn’t go unacknowledged, you have to continue to look for and cultivate love despite it all. advocacy, change, pain and love can exist all at once ! )
Back in August I did a review of @thepreatures live at Northcote Theatre for @beatmagazine ☆★
The live recording of that show has now been turned into a limited edition double LP Blue Planet Eyes Live!
On Friday night, I interviewed the electric Aussie rockers, filmed at @thecroxtonbandroom , ahead of their final headline show of the 10th anniversary tour for Blue Planet Eyes.
Read my full review on beat.com.au and keep an eye out for the full interview coming soooooon <3

They just played their first gig back, at Nighthawks with @g.u.n____ , @npcede and @raindogs._ , and are gearing up for an EP launch show at @thecurtin on November 21 (where I’ll be sitting down with them for a pre-show chat).
My full look at the new EP, released last week, plus my interview with the principal creative force behind the exciting ‘new’ Naarm / Melbourne outfit, is up now on beat.com.au 🔗
They’ve been around for two years, I’ve only just arrived in Melbourne (though I’ve been working here for six months) but even still - let me introduce you to Dumbhead.
