The music, which had always come freely across 15 years and two bands and eight albums, stopped.
“So much growth went into this record.” he tells me.
For those of us who’ve been along for the ride since we were 13 years old, still here at 26 and still looking for and cultivating joy wherever we can find it, this record feels like a particular gift.

@stelladonnelly stopped writing music for two years. Not because she ran out of things to say, but because what needed to be said felt too raw to touch. A friendship had ended and the weight of it sat differently than any romantic heartbreak had. No matter how much she tried to distract herself, music kept creeping back in. “This album felt like a stepping stone,” she tells FJ contributor, @frankiewrites__ . “I needed to put this out so I can move on.
