Last week, we had the honor of participating in and supporting the Zamfara State Digital Literacy Stakeholder Engagement Session as a consultant and implementation partner, working alongside the Executive Secretary Habib Gajam, of Zamfara Information and Communications Technology Agency, to shape the future of digital inclusion in the state.
The session, hosted by His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, brought together key stakeholders from government, academia, civil society, and the private sector to align on a bold vision: equipping Zamfara’s citizens with 21st-century digital skills.
From policy frameworks to practical implementation strategies, the conversations were rich, forward-thinking, and action-oriented. I’m proud to be contributing to a transformative agenda that places digital empowerment at the center of Zamfara’s socio-economic development.
Grateful to the Governor and his team for their leadership and commitment to bridging the digital divide.
The journey has only just begun and I’m excited about the collaborative road ahead.

SMEs are not just the backbone of Nigeria’s economy—they are its beating heart.
Did you know that SMEs in Nigeria contribute nearly 50% of GDP and account for over 80% of employment? Yet, many remain constrained by limited access to capital, infrastructure, and global markets. Our discussion today is monumental because the stakes have never been higher. With the rise of Africa as a global economic hub and technology as a bridge, the time to redefine SME success stories
is now.
Last week I was privileged to serve as a moderator at @businessdayng “Top 100 Fastest Growing SMEs in Nigeria” with Theme: Scaling for Success: Growth Opportunities for Nigeria SME’s.

As we have come to the end of COP29 in Baku and with focus on how digital tech and AI can boost climate action, but also curbing the sector’s emissions is very important.
Leaders at COP29 in Baku have endorsed a declaration pledging to use digital technologies to accelerate climate action while reducing the carbon footprint of tech manufacturing and tackling e-waste. The declaration received endorsements from over 1,000 governments, companies, and civil society organizations. Digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and big data, can play a central role in optimizing energy consumption and reducing emissions. However, the growing use of digital products and services also increases energy and water consumption, as well as e-waste production. The COP29 Declaration on Green Digital Action recognizes the importance of digital technologies in mitigating and adapting to climate change.

As we are reaching the end of week 1 at COP29, it’s imperative to highlight the benefits of mobilizing sufficient financial resources to support the implementation of these objectives. The discussions and negotiations have all been centered around #climatefinance (Blended and Transition finance) which has been a key focus during the past few days and at #COP29.
Amid decreasing aid and rising debt, securing financing for Africa’s transition is a challenge. While some sectors attract climate finance, others lack funding.
The right collaborations, on the other hand, can break through these barriers and open new pathways that unlock untapped capital for climate and nature solutions.
Partnering with organisations that provide catalytic capital can bring new fresh ideas, remove obstacles for market players and unlock stalled processes.
Lex Consulting has been at the forefront of mobilizing access to finance for startups in sustainable development projects, renewable technologies etc, in developing countries and we remain committed to creating financial pathways and collaboration for green growth…reach out!!!

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) kickstarted on Monday the 11th of November, 2024.
This annual global summit brings together governments, NGOs, industry leaders, and activists from around the world to negotiate climate policies, discuss environmental progress, and tackle pressing issues related to climate change. The key focus areas at COP29 includes; Climate Finance, Emission Reduction Targets, Adaptation and Resilience, Loss and Damage and Energy Transition.
As a strategic consultant dedicated to helping African startups and businesses in clean tech, climate change, and circular economy, I see immense opportunity to make a lasting impact through climate finance.
I have engaged with policymakers, investors, and innovators who share a commitment to scalable, sustainable solutions tailored to the unique challenges of our continent. From financing renewable energy projects to investing in circular economy innovations, the conversations here reinforce the critical role African entrepreneurs play in global climate action.
With Africa receiving less than 5% of global climate finance, there is an undeniable funding gap. Yet, through targeted climate funds and partnerships, we can unlock potential for growth that not only accelerates climate action but also drives economic development and resilience across our communities.
To my network, if you are working in clean tech, climate resilience, or circular economy and looking to raise climate funds, let us connect! Together, we can bring visibility, resources, and results to Africa’s most impactful climate solutions.
