Spring has sprung. I am gassed to be playing at some wonderful parties and festivals over the next few months. This is why I love @southportweekender ❤️ Very grateful to everyone in that room who came down to support and dance. A huge thank you to @raisingpeoplemanagement and Alex & Nick. It’s my 5th year at Southport, and 4th year playing here - and this set was by far my favourite one I’ve done. I don’t feel like I’ve had complete control of every room I’ve played in, but I felt it here - the room were LOCKED 🔒 I always come back from this weekend feeling really musically enriched and fulfilled. This scene is about more than just the music - it’s the community and friendships that have formed because of it. I get to see friends around me thrive, and at the same time, I get to learn from and witness the greats. Heard so much incredible music over the weekend but set of the weekend had to be @coflothesoulshifter who absolutely tore the roof off the place. Won’t be forgetting this SPW anytime soon. Ep 1 - out now! All shades of house that I love. Big vocals, bumpy basslines, deep chords, beautiful keys. Finally got that Tahj Monet in a mix🫢 I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, specifically so I can push the boat out a bit and explore some of the music I don’t play out as often, but still love to listen to. This will be through the realms of house, soul, funk, jazz, broken beat, Latin, rnb - who knows, we’ve got a whole year and 11 mixes to come. Friday’s presents party with @donsurf_ & @ezjuno at @the_bbe_store was beaaaautiful! We heard jazz, Latin, boogie, broken, garage - a little bit of this, a little bit of that - just the way we like it. Biggest thank you to both of them - genuinely lovely people and incredible DJs. If you weren’t there, you did miss out and don’t be silly and miss the next one. Saturday 13th June we go again!

We’re celebrating 7 years of Miles Away Records – and doing what we do best: blowing all our money on a proper good party and you’re all invited! For the night, we’re heading south to @bricks.london in Brixton – a freshly refurbished 250-capacity space in the heart of Brixton, complete with a seriously good soundsystem. Joining us are two firm Miles Away favourites and people who inspired us… @djmarciacarr_official – a true legend of the UK scene. A vinyl aficionado with over four decades behind the decks, Marcia’s sets are rich, soulful journeys spanning house, disco, Afro, broken beat, jazz and beyond. She’s played everywhere from Fabric and The Jazz Cafe to We Out Here and Southport Weekender, and remains one of the most respected selectors in the game. The DJs DJ! @levdj_ – One of the most exciting DJs doing their thing right now. She has that rare ability to present records in a way that truly elevates them, giving even familiar tracks a fresh sense of purpose. We’ve seen LEV DJ numerous times, and every set leaves us in awe — the depth, the ease, and the soul with which she moves across genres is something special. A regular at Glitterbox and Southport Weekender, she’s shared bills with Kerri Chandler and Louie Vega, and also runs a standout night alongside @iamfaro_ at the @the_bbe_store , championing emerging DJs and sounds from across the soulful spectrum.
