Very excited to share that I am making a film with one of my dearest friends and indie starlet @msrobinsun this month. The film is about a woman who loses her phone… and then loses her mind. The film explores the blurred line between reality and the subconscious in the aftermath of grief.
While the project is influenced by films like REPULSION, PERSONA, and BLACK SWAN, I have always been unsatisfied with the central conflicts displayed in these classic works: antagonistic, psychological battles between women. I wondered: Is it possible to make a haunting and surreal film that mirrors female relationships in a more satisfying light? This was where the story of LOST IT began to take form.Â
But what I am most excited about is the wonderful team that I am bringing together, members of our LA community.

ten years ago I was living in Mexico City and my friend @alexzreynaud and I decided to make a short film together. Soon after I moved to nyc and started working for Vice. It took me nearly four years to complete.
When it was done, I submitted to a few festivals, but did not get in, and so it sat in my private vimeo for years. I always had a sad feeling about this film because I didn’t know what to do with it. Yet I still really liked it and was proud of what we did.
Recently I started casting for my feature and on a whim decided to include this little film along with my other work samples for actors. Something really wonderful happened - out of all of my past work this is the one that has sparked the most conversation, and it has reminded me of something that can be lost in the at times strange process of filmmaking -
the only person who needs to like your work is you, and those who will connect with it will connect with it. đź–¤
