Career achievement unlocked: Designing the greatest piece of Cobra Kai merch of all time!
But not any old bit of merch. It was the honour of my lifetime to collaborate with the incredible
@jonhurwitz and
@healdrules to design their very own, one of a kind Cobra Kai pinball machines.
So how do you capture six seasons of storytelling and the 30 years of lore which gave birth to it? With great difficulty - fortunately we had a LOT of real estate to play with and the games playfield pays tribute to all your favourite settings from the show with sections dedicated to the Cobra Kai, Miyagi Do and Eagle Fang dojos as well as Johnny’s apartment, the Sekai Taikai and of course, the All Valley Tournament.
It was so important to me that not only did this look like a Cobra Kai game, but that playing it FELT like a Cobra Kai experience - every action you complete, every bonus you unlock, every target you hit is accompanied by killer sound bites from the show as well a soundtrack containing all the brilliance of
@zrobusa and
@leobirenberg ’s immense score as well as all your favourite needle drops!
A huge shoutout also to the pinball wizard himself, Brian at
@gameroompinball who worked tirelessly to bring all these elements together into the finished build as we pushed the limits of what was possible to achieve the best possible result.
Never in my lifetime could have I ever dreamt of an opportunity like this, to be entrusted with a project of this importance but I’m so SO happy that all our hard work has come to fruition - now I just need to put some rainy day pennies away because I WILL come and play it in person one day 😂😂
