narratiiiv, chapter v: it’s not always easy to look back and understand how far you’ve come. in under two years, we’ve built and accomplished so much—five sets, eight performances—and our biggest opportunity is just ahead of us. but with that has also come doubt. imposter syndrome, second-guessing, all of it. it makes it hard to fully take in all the love, support, and opportunities that have come our way. those feelings don’t just disappear. but the one thing that’s always grounded us is each other. that support is what gets us through, every time. this piece is a reflection of our journey so far. it’s about looking back at everything we’ve done, not with confusion or disbelief, but with pride and gratitude. the visual of uncovering our eyes represents finally taking it all in, seeing clearly, and allowing ourselves to be proud of everything that’s come our way and of what’s yet to come. videos by @vibrvncy @geraldnonadoez @dominick__p music by @imogenheap

narratiiiv, chapter iv: another heartbreak. this story found the iii of us at the perfect time. in different ways, we were all dealing with the same thing: the hesitations that come with starting something new, and the fear of opening yourself up to another possible heartbreak. whether that fear comes from past trauma, feeling like something is “too good to be true,” or just the discomfort of change, we wanted this piece to feel relatable to anyone who’s ever struggled with taking that leap into a new relationship. we chose to tell this story through the concept of a sleepless night — the kind where anxiety, thoughts, and “what ifs” keep you awake all night. to bring that to life, we used pillows and pillowcases. if the pillow represents the person we want to be with, the pillowcase is the fear — the barrier between us and that connection. by the end, we strip away the fear and toss it aside, choosing to dive in anyway. but that’s just one interpretation. however you connect with it is just as meaningful; and that’s what we love most about dance. it’s always open to interpretation 💚 video by @boatandbridge music by @giveon @prelude_ec by @projectd_nj

With the heat 🥵 creeping 🧟‍♂️ past 💯, it’s TEWW hot to step outside🚶‍♀️‍➡️but perfect 👌 weather 🌤️ to sit🧎‍♀️‍➡️in your feels 🥀💔 Our latest 🤩 concept video 🎥 is dropping 🫳 right now 👇, it’s one for the drama 😱 So grab a fan 🪭, pull out your tissues 🤧, and let the tears 😢 (and choreography 😉) flow 🏊‍♂️… and get ready 🏁 to 🌊 Cry Me a River 🌊 ☆ 📬 a message from the choreographer … For this piece, I wanted to use movement as a way to wrestle with those moments when we feel too much but can’t say enough. Just like the song, the piece leans into something emotionally dense and heavy in its own way. I’m so grateful to have created this with a team that’s held a special place in my heart these past two years, and to have worked alongside such truly talented dancers and friends whose presence and support have meant the world to me. This project means a lot, and it makes me even more excited for the stories we’ll get to tell next. - @lestareer ☆ 🧠: @lestareer 🎥: @justinyee_ 🎶: CRY ME A RIVER - @justintimberlake ☆ #synchronicdanceteam #danceteam #nycdancers #choreography #crymeariver #justintimberlake #emotional #bgirl #bboy #breakers

narratiiiv, chapter ii: we made this one for our moms. back in december when we were trying to figure out the next story we wanted to tell, we all told each other stories about the roles that our moms have played in our journeys as dancers. it was a moment of reflection that made us really grateful to have had someone who truly cared about our love and passion for dance. so we decided to use our piece as a thank you letter to them. we wouldn’t be doing what we do without their support, and what better way to say thank you then through a dance itself. the phone/phone call was a concept we decided to incorporate due to all of us currently living away from home and not seeing our moms all the time anymore. it was a bit of a reminder for us to always make time to check in and catch up. throughout the piece we also layered in audio clips of our moms cheering us on and voicemails of them checking in on us. and while they were maybe not super audible for the audience, they were important for us to hear on stage and were a way for us to make our moms a part of the piece itself. lastly, a huge thank you to @bufusion for letting us perform such a personal piece on the elements stage. this event means so much to the east coast dance community and we’re so honored to have been welcomed into it this year love, narratiiiv @vibrvncy @geraldnonadoez @mjabiva thank you for capturing our movement so well 🫶🏻 @chancepena thank you for this beautiful song 🌄 @seancheesecake thank you for the incredible photos 🧡

narratiiiv, chapter i: this piece is about support and surrounding yourself with people who can lift you up in times of hardship. we wanted this story to be a reminder to everyone that while we all encounter moments and times of adversity, we don’t have to go through it alone. more likely than not, there are people who care about you and would run to your side in an instant. it’s also a reminder to be there for the ones you care about. lift them up, hold them, and carry them (in our case, literally lol) with this performance at prelude, we’re saying goodbye to our debut set. this piece means so much to the iii of us and we’re so happy we got to share it both in Boston and NJ 💚 to anyone who took the time to watch the performance, we say thank you! 🫶🏻 video by @mjabiva @stevenruggiero_ @ma.dulas @boatandbridge
