Back in images from the second edition of chimera, which took place on June 14 at @big_table_athens 💋💋 Anchored in the embodied exploration of personal narratives, the evening investigated how performance can serve as a site for negotiating individual and collective trauma — not through avoidance or solemnity alone, but through processes that allow intensity, illusion, and moments of joy to coexist. Save the date! 💋💋 Saturday, June 14th From 7pm at @big_table_athens Agiou Orous 25 Program Untitled one by @konstantinos_damis and @eleni.fotou & @lefteris_v ~ 8pm At the core of this project is the desire to bring together two artistic realms that frequently intersect yet rarely merge in depth: fashion and the performing arts. Conceived specifically for chimera, the piece invites fashion designer Konstantinos Damis to collaborate with dancers Eleni Fotou and Lefteris Vasilopoulo, in a dialogue that challenges and reconfigures the codes of the fashion world. Here, the garments are not mere costumes but sources of inspiration — the movement emerges from the clothing, rather than clothing being shaped to fit the movement. The Fence by @fo.matel (work in progress) ~ 9:30pm The Fence is a spoken word performance built from an endless text, where barriers collapse and reconfigure in a constant process of deconstruction. It embodies both structure and its dissolution, becoming a form that divides, connects, and confines. It speaks in fragments, unfolding as a torrent of confessions, contradictions, refusals, and borrowings. Drawing on both found and original writings, and shaped by an embodied approach to performativity, the piece assembles a patchwork of porous, unstable, and unresolved thoughts. Untitled two by @konstantinos_damis In collaboration with @fruitgillette and special guests ~ 10:30pm Developed in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Fruit Gillette — whose pop music draws from the melodramatic romance and theatrical heartbreak characteristic of 1990s and 2000s Greek divas — the performance reconfigures the visual and gestural codes of the runway to produce a space of excess and stylized vulnerability. Japan blues ~ Words fail to express how wholesome it was

After months of intensity—work, travel and happy encounters—I’m finally taking a moment for a visual throwback to the first edition of chimera, which took place last december at @big_table_athens chimera is my curatorial project in performing arts, aiming to create new frameworks for performance outside the traditional black box theater. More than just a performance space, it is an environment that fosters experimentation, cross-disciplinary artistic exchanges, and a new relationship with the audience, set in a festive atmosphere. So grateful for this first evening alongside the incredibly talented @evapapadakis_ @nefeli_asteriou @celebr1ty.crush , celebrating monstrosity, our relationship to animality, and our fear of the abnormal—of not fitting into norms, yet also of being constantly brought back to our physicality and primal instincts. Saturday, December 14th From 8pm at @big_table_athens Program 8:30pm ~ Blue Moon: Blue Balls by @evapapadakis_ Blue Moon: Blue Balls is a reading performance navigating the grotesque, poetic, and absurd dimensions of the human condition. It asks: “Can my balls still be loved if only one of them can fill my palm, or will it scare you away?” Eva’s recent medical misfortunes and embodied “monstrosities” offer an intimate exploration of bodily transformation, vulnerability, and resilience. 9:30pm ~ bestiaire by @nefeli_asteriou Nefeli Asteriou’s bestiaire is a transformative exploration of identity through monster-like images and movements. Figures such as the woman-spider, dancer-swan, and sylph emerge and vanish, blending symbols and dance references to challenge definitions. Drawing on clichéd animal metaphors tied to femininity, the piece reexamines identity in a world of constant change.
