I first got the idea for SR4TC in 2023, and had to bring Banana Peel to life to get it done. Much like how people speed run videos games, I decided to speed run a tape. Which also doubled as an exercise against perfectionism. This is an all Black trans artist tape. My plan is to do this “speed run” style in between larger projects as a way to reset.
I initially released this project in August 2025 via website that I built. I’m fairly loud about my hatred of streaming and feel there are ways around it. I gave out about 150 cards and the album was downloaded over 700 times. I’m moving it to streaming for access reasons but firmly believe there is a way forward without it.
Also - new name change (again lol). The name Leprd Print ngl is pretty random but I like it

Studios are a financial barrier for many recording artists like myself. After a series of events (some fortunate, some not) I finally built a proper studio in my apartment. All the panels were made by hand (s/o Azaiah and Isa), and equipment sourced second hand. Needless to say I’m very proud of it. Banana Peel Studio— built for us, made by us.
The goal of Banana Peel Studio is to offer a low barrier, comfortable and welcoming space for Black trans artists.

This is Leprd Print. New year, new name, new music dropping soon. But let’s take it back to the beginning. No album in my discography has had an effect on me quite like Crimson. Written over 16 months between March 2020 and August 2021, I wrote, produced and mixed the project out of my bedroom and car under the name Omari Vel. Writing Crimson made me realize that I was trans and that no amount of hiding could erase that fact. This month marks 4 years on T, and I am incredibly proud to say that I have truly come into myself and my sound.
