Every time there is a mass shooting, Republicans and MAGA always claim that mental health issues are to blame. Trump just cut $2 billion from mental health care and substance abuse programs. So either Trump is trying to cause more mass shootings or your assumptions are bullshit and it’s the fucking guns in the hands of white domestic terrorists. I’ve been horribly saddened the last couple of days by well-meaning people falling right into Trump’s trap. So as a victim of bullying for years, let me tell you what is really going on.
1) Trump, our bully in this story, doesn’t want people saying mean things about him
2) He uses the enormous power of the FC (let’s say this is the bully’s fists) to threaten network affiliates to pull ABC, which would cost thousands of jobs at the Disney Corporation.
3) Disney (the target of the bully), stuck between a rock and a hard place, makes the decision to suspend one show to save all of the others (yes there is money involved too, but Disney would not have made this decision if not for the FCC).
4) Everyone attacks Disney for not standing up to the bully, and no one does anything tangible to hurt the actual bully.
Let’s take the metaphor home: A bully used his fist to threaten their victim until they complied. Then everyone attacks the victim for the bully’s actions, they bully laughs all the way home.
